About this listing
This spacious, pleasant bedroom with Queen bed accommodates two and is close to good bars, restaurants, and cafes, as well as beautiful Wright Park. It is just steps from a bus line. Old fashioned bathroom with tub/shower. Plenty of fridge and cupboard space to share.
Guests often describe my space as ... tranquil. It allows them a place to rest and unwind before and after launching into whatever has brought them to Tacoma.
Guests are welcome to use my living room/dining room and kitchen. There is cupboard/refrigerator space for their food. I have a welcoming porch where guests like to enjoy the sun.
Interaction with Guests
I am a low-key, relaxed host. I like to give guests plenty of space, but am also happy to share a beer or glass of wine with a guest if this is their desire. I am good at reading people, so I pay attention to the cues!
I have a low drama neighborhood with friendly neighbors on both sides. There is a feeling of support, good will, and comaraderie. We love to admire each other's gardens!
8th Street sits between "L" and "K." There is a bus stop on each, within a block or two.
My number one rule is this: Enjoy yourself! I appreciate guests who communicate well and observe common courtesies such as cleaning up after themselves in the kitchen/bathroom, and keeping noise to a reasonable level at night. This is a non-smoking environment.
Beautiful comfortable home. I felt very much a part of the family. My stay was fantastic and I was sad to leave. The room itself was very clean and classy and the bed was cosy. The room was also spacious. I learned how to play professional baseball from watching Morgan's son playing with his local high school team. I would certainly stay there again. Bus is very nearby and shops and bars / restaurants are maybe 10 minutes walk away.
Morgan was very sweet, welcoming and accommodating while we stayed with her for two weeks following a move to Tacoma.
There were a few little hiccups, like laundry not being available because Morgan was between machines upon our arrival and some issues with the internet, which we both needed for work. However, she was kind enough to give us quarters for the laundromat two blocks away and to try to remedy issues with the internet when they arose. She also went above and beyond in other really thoughtful ways, like showing genuine interest in my jewelry designs, texting me to see how things were going when I had an event vending my wares, and letting me tag along for errands when it was pouring out the day before said event.
The space was big and bright, with plenty of natural sunlight available. We were made to feel welcome cooking and just generally hanging out in the common areas, and everyone here was kind and friendly. We loved the nearby Corner Store and the nice folks who run it; it was very convenient for little things like bread and soymilk that we'd run out of between trips to the grocery store.
Morgan and her housemates were lovely to chat with; we even shared a wonderful Thanksgiving meal with the other folks in the house, and I'd like to think that we've come away from the situation as friends.
The house is clean and quite. Good location which allows me have easy connection to my spots. Morgan is a great host, nice and warm hearted who provided me extra supports. Definitely I will stay with her again.
I was in the area for work and had a wonderful stay with Morgan. Her space is quiet, neat, and very relaxing. I would definitely stay here again.
Morgan is a gracious host. She made us feel at home. The accommodations were accurately pictured and described. The neighborhood is lovely and was close to our needs in Tacoma. This was our first airbnb experience and was what we had hoped for.
I had a great stay at Morgan's. I love the bright, vibrant colors in the house. Every thing was clean and smelled fresh. I chatted with Morgan a bit and she was really easy to get along with and very knowledgeable about the area. I'd definitely stay there again.
We walked through the open door of one of the cutest little houses on the street to a warm welcome from Morgan and her guests. She made us feel very welcome, and although we did not interact much (we were so busy the whole trip), we were relieved to have a big bed in a clean, charming house to come back to at the end of each day. Thank you, Morgan!
