The place is just as described, really quiet and very close to the beach. The owners were fast at replying and flexible with the check-in/check-out times. The kitchen has everything you need to cook and more. My only complaint is that it looked like they received us after a long time of having the place empty, so we needed to clean the container to put the bottled water they provided us, because it was green. No big deal, as it was easy to fix.

We loved our time at "Where the jungle meets the beach". Dave was a perfect host and took care of everything we needed. The town of Esterillos Oeste is sweet and charming. Walking to the beach is as easy as stepping out the door and walking a couple hundred feet. The AC was great in each room and all the extras were truly appreciated. There were three of us and we all are trying to figure out how we can go back.

Very nice little house just a block from the beach. Clean, nice (great chairs!), full kitchen of every kind of utensil you can think of. The neighbors next door speak English and were very helpful in getting us setup. Wi-fi, laundry, lots of towels and sheets. Really a complete package. Town is nice and small. A little surf/beach town with a few restaurants, a market and not much else. Not much more you need really. You can buy fish from the boats as they come in in the morning and cook 'em up at home. It's next door to a few farms, so the birds'll get you up early, but that's okay. There's not a whole lot to do after dark so best to get up early. Good experience there, no complains. Would definitely recommend if you're heading to Esterillos Oeste.

A clean, well maintained, amazingly managed property in paradise! Very true to the description and photos. Lots of surf close by, great community spirit, outdoor adventures and beaches to just chill out on. I would not hesitate in recommending this property to anyone and all those involved in its management are very helpful/fast to respond.

We have owned this property for 11 years now and have decided to start renting it out on occasion.
This house is on the Central the small village of Esterillos Oeste...About 10 min South of Jaco.... a 1 1/2 hour drive from the San Jose airport on the new hiway......Less than 45 minutes drive from us, South, is Manuel Antonio State Park...exploration, hiking, kayaking, snorkeling, wildlife, sunset cruises, white sand beaches..........20 minutes North of us is Carrera State Park, with hiking, bird watching, wildlife, flowers, etc.... We also have a zip line tour about 10 minutes North of us with breathtaking views of the tree top canopies and of the Pacific coast line. Watch the Macaws fly by on warm coastal breezes as you sail thru the tree tops.
This 2 bedroom house is very secure, and we have the American caretakers, Dave and Kate, living close by to help you with your needs....The house is located in a very nice family neighborhood...the yard is fenced and gated, for your security. Also room for parking for the rental car. It's very quiet here, with a private jungle setting, although you can hear the surf from the front patio....we have a land line there for local calls, and also have Cable TV, internet, and thru-out....Also a fully stocked house, with all linens, utensils, blender, coffee maker, laundry, etc...with 2 new Pillow-Topped Queen beds...And a futon for overflow.
We are fortunate to have a beach that runs East, and West, and consequently, we get sunrise, and sunset....This is a Bandera Azul beach...a designation given by the Costa Rican government as a biologically clean this little village, are 8-10 restaurants, 2 grocery stores, 2 fish markets, 3-4 outdoor beach food/beer sales, a bakery, meat market, soccer, and more....all within a 2-7 minute walk.....You really don't need a car to get around the village.
The beach is shallow at our end, so we have rocks, and tide pools. Further down the beach, the water drops off quicker, so surfing is excellent.....a great beach for kids of all ages...some mornings, we will get up early, and buy fish from the locals that come in after a morning of fishing...the Corvina (sea bass), is excellent...also you can buy, Tuna, Red Snapper, and Lobster.... Perfect for the built in BBQ, under the covered patio. Be sure to grab a refreshment and watch the sunset, or get up early and watch the sunrise.
