This little bungalow is in the heart of downtown's historic district and has Stetson's campus as its front yard. It is one block from Stetson's main gates on Woodland Blvd and five blocks from DeLand's award winning main street. Built in 1929 this nine hundred square foot house packs in all the essentials. The big front porch is the place to be for morning coffee, evening cocktails, or a quiet place to relax.

The space
The cozy living room features a couch, chair, and flat screen tv with cable and wireless internet. Adjacent is the dining room with seating for four and a wood burning fireplace.

The compact kitchen is due for an update, but has all the essentials for cooking or just use the refrigerator and microwave for storing and reheating leftovers the many delicious restaurants that are just a short distance away.

The bungalow sleeps five in two bedrooms. The front bedroom has a queen bed and the back bedroom has a full bed with a twin bed tucked in the adjoining space.

There is a full sized laundry set on the screened back porch that is available for guests use.

DeLand is a charming city of about 30,000 located between Daytona Beach and Orlando. It's home to Stetson University, the historic Athens Theater, the Stetson Mansion, "America's Best Main Street", and the Deland airport which is a skydiving destination. This house is located in Deland's residential historic district. Deleon Spring State Park (home of the pancake house and grist mill) is about 15 minutes north. Hontoon Island State Park is about 10 minutes west and is free to access via a quick ferry ride across the St Johns River. Blue Spring State park which is one of the highest magnitude springs in Florida and an important manatee refuge is about 10 minutes south. And Daytona Beach is about 30 minutes east (the Daytona Speedway is about 20 minutes).
