The space
-Eco Smart: cork floors, instant hot H2O, solar lighting, copper sink, antiques, refurbished architecture, charming! The 500 sf. cottage is located at the back side of the lakefront property beside main house. For view of Lake Dora just walk down driveway to the dock. The queen mattress is new and firm. In the living area is a full size futon that can easily sleep two additional guests. The mattress is extra thick 6 inches with additional feather topper should one desire a soft landing.
Private parking through back double gate, cottage and deck, organic garden, lakeside dock. City of Mt Dora is just one mile away, Tavares seaplane capital just 4 miles up Lakeshore scenic drive. Mount Dora offers FREE transportation into town from 11 am -8 pm on various days
This Lakeside cottage has completed renovation as of April 2014. Ready and open for guests.

You will love the old rock driveway surrounded by ancient pines, moss draped oaks and magnolias. The lakeside setting is soothing. My Dora is often called 'little New England' and this 1926 property reflects that belief. Charming is the most frequent description.
It is an easy one mile walk to town or walk. Segways are available in town. Seaplane rides are available in both Mt Dora and Tavares. Don't miss the boat tour through the Dora Canal said to be the most scenic on the entire Chain of Lakes.
Disney and attractions are 25 miles (website hidden) Dora has so much to offer: over 35 festivals per year. There is something for everyone: live theater, over a dozen art galleries, museums, fantastic restaurants, music, shopping at quaint shops or the enormous flea markets. Water sports of every kind, hot air ballon to sea planes, watch the ultralights fly by along with the Eagles and Sand Hill Cranes and Herons. There are dozens of beautiful freshwater springs within easy drive time.
Ocala National Forest is less than 40 minutes as is Orlando with its own long list of amusements.

Care taker....retired nurse practitioner, nutritional health coach, ambitious, environmentalists, nature lover and Florida is one of the greatest places to watch the show. From deep blue skies, white fair weather cumulus clouds, herons, cranes and eagles to warm lake breezes and tropical gardening. Each day is a gift.
I enjoy the unlimited opportunities to enjoy Central Florida. Biking and kayaking are a favorite. Where there is water, great food, music and art and much more, you will be guaranteed a wonderful experience
