Perfect location and a great apartment! Great restaurants right next door. Highly recommended to anyone looking for an enjoyable place to stay in Rome.
We visited Rome for 3 days after traveling in Umbria (central Italy). Apartment was nicely located in Trastevere area and you could find a lots af restaurants near by.
There are two adults and two boys (6 and 3) in our family and there was room for all of us.
Apartment had lots of little things and toys with made it feel like home and boys also loved it.
It was easy to communicate with Emily and there was also a friend near by contacted if needed. Everything worked well and according to AirB&B presentation.
We really enjoyed Emilias charming, personal and very well functional apartment. The surrounding in Trastevere is wonderful! Walking distance to many of Romes most interesting viewpoints and a lot of very good and charming restaurants just outside the door. Emilia has been very nice and contacted us in good time. She arranged transport from the airport and gave us useful tips.
Staying here had both pros and cons, so I'll list both.
Beautiful apartment, in one of the prettiest areas of Rome. There is always something happening almost right on your doorstep, and you are surrounded by cafes and restaurants where both tourists AND locals go. The apartment itself is a good size and beautifully furnished.
Also, Emilia allowed us to leave our luggage in the apartment later than usual on our day of departure, which was very good of her and very much appreciated.
You pay the price for staying in such a lively area by having to put up with a lot of outside noise at night. To a large extent this can be mitigated by closing the windows but as soon as you do that the apartment gets very hot. There are two portable aircon units but the only one that's really effective needs a window open in order to vent it's exhaust heat, hence you allow the outside noise to come in. It's a catch twenty two.
During our stay the washing machine wasn't working, which meant we had to hand wash our clothes. There was also no kettle, which meant we needed to boil water over the stove to make tea or coffee. Whilst these are not huge issues, I expected more from a fully furnished apartment.
The bedding situation is somewhat misleading. Whilst you can sleep a number of people in the apartment, there is only one actually double bed, the others are fold-out sofas in the living room. Which we didn't even know about because the cleaner who met us upon arrival failed to tell us, hence one of us spent the entire time sleeping on a sofa. This was very poor. The same cleaner also failed to tell us where the extra bedding for the sofa could be found, hence I had to message Emilia to ascertain this.
A beautiful apartment in a great location. Would I stay here again? Yes, because in my opinion the pros outweigh the cons. Would I like to have a few words with the cleaner who met us upon arrival? Definitely.
Great location. Very central. Emilia was very helpful with recommendations and also arranged a car for airport pick up. It is not renovated though.
The apartment was in a great location in Trastevere and spacious, especially for two people. It was nicely decorated and charming, exactly as the photos show.
Emilia's place is the perfect place to stay while visiting Rome! It's in the center of what's happening and walking distance to many other places. Emilia is also very responsive to all our questions and very helpful as well. We love our stay there and would definitely recommend it to anyone.
