About This Listing
Discover our well appointed recently constructed apartment. Located right around the corner from Rincon's finest swimming beach in a safe/quiet neighborhood. Plenty of outdoor space; lanai, patio & grilling area. Close to shopping and many restaurants. Great for singles, couples, small family with one child. Very reasonably priced.
The beach around the corner is great. Corcega, is the best beach for swimming year round. Our 2 unit house is quiet by Puerto Rican standards because it is a dead end street with only 5 houses. Even if the upstairs 2 bedroom unit is occupied you have complete privacy and plenty of indoor and outdoor space of your own.
We have a washroom on the ground level which is the level the studio is on. There is a lanai/hammock room just off the studio as well as a covered patio. The kitchen is complete for cooking albeit small. The bathroom is good size with a large shower, hot water. There is an outdoor shower as well for sand removal. We have wireless internet. We provide linens as well as a couple beach towels, snorkels and beach chairs, umbrella. The grilling area is just off your patio.
Interaction with Guests
During high season we may or may not be there. Sometimes other guests use the upper 2 bedroom unit. If you need more space ask us about availability for that unit.
It is a small quiet neighborhood of seasonal and full time residents. There are a mix of chickens, and enchanting tropical flora across the street, which is undeveloped. Everyone respects your privacy and we trust guests do the same and keep late night noise to a minimum.
Not really a lot of public transit.. A car is suggested.
Other Things to Note

This is a great place to stay. It is close to Rincon but far enough away that we could get some r&r. The beach down the street was a great place to watch the sunset and wildlife. The place was really clean and I would love to come back.
Everything was perfect about our staying in Bob’s place. The neighborhood is very quiet. The beach is 45 seconds walking away!!! The house is very clean with a good equipment. The garden is cool and Rincon is an amasing place to stay around. A car is necessary if you want to enjoy fully the area all the wonderful beaches and views in the hill. Even if we didn’t meet Bob, he was very helpful by phone. Thanks again for the few days in your house.
My partner and I took a much needed week long getaway in Rincon and the studio was perfect for us. It's a great spot in a great location. It was a quick walk to a quiet, calm beach and and easy drive to the many other beautiful beaches and hangouts in Rincon. Bob and Ann were generous, responsive hosts. The studio is stocked with all the basics if you want to keep it low key at home (check out the nearby fruit stand) and we were provided with all the gear we needed for several great days at the beach. We would definitely stay here again.
The studio is as described and reviewed. Very clean, good amenities, steps from the beach...what more could one ask for? Bob was very attentive and wanted to ensure we were having a good time, and I assured him no major complaints! I would recommend the studio to those seeking a relaxed and quiet break in the Rincon area.
My boyfriend Ger and I traveled to Rincon in April 2014. I originally planned my travel solo, but he was able to make it for the first part of the trip, and then loved it so much he extended his flight and we stayed together the entire week visit, last night spent in Condado to be closer to the airport.
Bob and Ann have a wonderful place in Rincon, just outside of the town area and about 15 minutes from the surfing beaches. This was fine with me as I'm not a surfer! I originally planned my trip to be solo, so being in a gated location sounded good since I didn’t know what to expect but didn’t want to stay in a hotel or resort. I was intimidated at first, winding my way through the back roads, trying to find Calle Corte and getting looks from folks in the neighborhood, and was secretly relieved to have Ger with me. But by the next day I felt like I lived there and was driving around feeling comfortable, avoiding chickens and waving to neighbors! Having a car is a must and be prepared to drive aggressive.
The apartment is about a block from Corcega beach which is excellent for swimming, sunbathing and walks. Pushing together the twin beds was not ideal, but Ger wasn’t supposed to be there originally and it worked fine. There is no television which may be difficult for some, but we didn’t mind. There are some books in the apartment if you need extra reading material. The recommendations from Bob and Ann, down to their preference for Edwards over Econo, were spot on. We loved Cambijia (pinchos), English Rose (breakfast), Shipwreck Grill (dinner), Pancho Villa (dinner), and Franciscos at the Lazy Parrot (dinner). We also enjoyed places that were not recommended, like Brasas (in hotel up the road on 115), smoothies and a healthy breakfast truck along 413, the diner/bakery in town for breakfast, and the bakery on 115 for pastry to enjoy on the drive back to San Juan. One evening we drank at the Rincon brewing company for local craft beer.
As far as beaches, I made it to Tres Palmas and Sandy Beach nearby, but most of our time was spent at Corcega because it was so close and so lovely. I took a day trip to Cabo Rojo which was absolutely beautiful and well worth the trip. I was not aware of this, but there are salt mines in PR! I made it to Combate beach and I believe Bahia Sucia (still trying to figure out if I was there or Playuela) near the light house. Go during the week for a better experience. There is an umbrella available at the apartment – much needed in that hot PR sun – and chairs as well as beach towels.
It was a fantastic, relaxing trip and Bob and Ann are excellent hosts. I would certainly return!
My boyfriend and our 11 1/2 month old baby stayed with Bob and Anne and had the most wonderful vacation. They are such warm hosts and the studio is perfect--clean and bright and spacious with ceiling fans and curtains separating the bedroom area from the rest of the studio, so our son could sleep in the Pack n Play in the bedroom while John and I hung out on the patio or in the living area. Great recommendations from Bob and Anne on car rental, restaurants, beaches. Great location.

About the Host, Bob
semi retired traveler who is married and has adult children scattered around the globe. spend a lot of winter months in Puerto Rico on the western side, Rincon, where we also rent. As a commercial/residential property manager I respect peoples property and the work that goes along with renting. I guess that makes me both owner/visitor friendly and reasonable to deal with, golden rule thing!!
Like to cook in, know what we are eating, explore via foot, and find the less traveled routes.
