My husband and I had booked 4 nights at Dot Suites Mendoza, but the city was very busy during the wine festival, so we were upgraded for three nights to a suite with a large terrace at Modigliani Art & Design Suites, then moved to spend our 4th night at Dot Suites - we had been advised after booking that this would be the case. We enjoyed both properties very much. We arrived later in the evening and received a great welcome and thorough introduction to the suite and the area from Marcelo, as I understand Martin was in Chile on our first night. Everyone we met who was associated with Modilgliani Suites was so friendly and kind, and the service was wonderful - great information about the area, helpful recommendations, and lots of assistance in planning our time in Mendoza. The locations are perfect: very central and easy walking distance to great cafes, restaurants, and sights. The rooms were spacious and just as depicted in the photos: the kitchens were very well equipped, the beds were comfortable, and although the bathrooms have small showers (from our Canadian perspective, at least), they had excellent water pressure and temperature. The buildings seem a little older, but they have lots of character, and we enjoyed the art. The Wifi was a bit spotty one day in Dot Suites, but seemed fine after we disconnected and reconnected, and was generally not an issue for us. We were very pleased with both Modigliani and Dot Suites, and we would stay again without hesitation.
Martin is a very welcoming host. He answers messages quickly and with detailed responses. The entire process was very easy and straightforward. The Dot suites were also very nice—modern, comfortable, clean, well-serviced, and centrally located to Mendoza. A wonderful experience staying with Martin at Dot Suites.
Muy buen lugar, es central y lindo.
El unico pero seria que en la noche es muy ruidoso por ser central.
Pero todo lo demas esta perfecto
We stayed one night in a apartment for 3 people and three nights in an apartment for 4 people at DotSuites Mendoza. It was Easter Holiday and was very difficult to find accommodation in Mendoza. Martin was very kind in letting the four of us stay in the smaller apartment and added an airbed for the fourth person. Thanks Martin!!
The apartment is in a very convenient and safe location in Mendoza. Close to shops, restaurants and cafes.
Martin's staff Marcelo and Barbara are the best. They are helpful and Marcelo took the time to arrange a private wine tour to Lujan de Cuyo for our family. Barbara looked into the small details of our needs like offering an umbrella when we arrived on a rainy day and kept our luggage in a safe place while we waited for the rooms to be ready.
Thanks for welcoming us to Mendoza. On a side note, honestly, if you cannot tolerate noise in a city location, this apartment may not be for you.
Very much a mixed bag - the location is very good and Martin both very kindly facilitated an early checkin (we arrived at 8am off an overnight bus) and also kindly upgraded us to an apt with a fine terrace as we were on our honeymoon. However, the apt had quite a few failings. The bed was poor and a very small 'queen' (which the bed linen failed to fit - being itself undersized) while the shower was truly appalling for the price we paid - both very small and with terribly weak pressure and a small head (the rain shower nozzle did not work). Also we noticed that the bare soles of our feet were soon filthy - and found this was from a considerable amount of fine but volumous dust and dirt covering the tiled floor. We emailed Martin about this and he apologised, mentioned a recent dust storm and assured us this was an oversight and that the cleaning lady would clean this the next day. She didn't - on any of the four days she could have - and we wore shoes in doors to keep our feet clean! I have lived in a tent for 6 months before - So i am not a clean freak at all - the floor was filthy!!! The terrace was the crowning glory - and lovely and clean too! She also came early in the morning despite Martin assuring us that she would arrive at noon. We returned to the property's profile on airBnB and marvelled at how the 'arty' photos portrayed the property so well - kudos to the photographer.... But the impression they give is highly misleading in terms of build quality and finish, cleanliness and space. To conclude: our advice would be to pay just a little more and get a room in the Sheraton across the road. Or try some of the other listings on AirBnb! 1 out of 5 for this depto
The apartment is walking distance to the center Plaza and good restaurants. Martin and his staff made us feel extremely welcome, giving us a map of the city and showing us what to check out during our visit. Our apartment did have some street noise, in fact the wall of windows made us feel like we were part of the street, but the glass was double-paned so it was manageable. The Internet went down a few times but we were able to get right back on by switching to the second wifi network. The air conditioning was good (and necessary) and the bathroom sink was the best designed sink I've ever used. Finally! Overall it was a great experience and I would rent from Martin again.
The area was real good, short ways, the wonderful App. like you see in the picture and martin was an perfect host. Thanks so much for the support. Gracias
