Welcome to Travelers’ Rest — a home-away-from-home facility exclusively for professional’s and the traveling medical community; pleasant, warm and comfortable. We have a collection of homes available. Here is the Alexandria.

Step inside where you’ll find a welcoming bright lit area, large comfortable nicely appointed living room and modern equipped kitchen. There is one bedroom with bath upstairs and a bonus room for reading, relaxing, Yoga or quiet time. Your bedroom is completely furnished with Queen Bed; fully made and ready for your first pleasurable night, blinds and curtains, ample closet area, night stands, lamps, dresser and mirror. Our goal is a relaxed comfortable space as snug as your own residence.

You'll enjoy Persian rugs downstairs and fully carpeted bedrooms, comfortable furniture and charming outdoor sitting area. The neighborhood setting is a quiet street with ample parking and 24/7 security. It’s a great place to walk or jog. The summers offer pool use for swimming, or just relaxing in the sun.

Travelers’ Rest is 5 minutes from Jackson General Hospital with Walgreens, shopping, grocery and restaurants nearby. During the summer months enjoy our number one rated Farmers’ Market or free outdoor concerts at the Amphitheater.

Although not a Bed &Breakfast, the kitchen is stocked with fresh fruits, yogurt and snacks weekly. Coffee and tea available, or feel free to bring your favorite Keurig variety.

Wi-Fi, and local television are provided, plus washer/dryer. The Innkeeper lives next door; if there are special needs, let us know. We are here to make your stay comfortable and enjoyable.

No pets are allowed. Non-smokers only please. First-Aid kit, iron and board on premises. Smoke detectors in each room. Bottled water? Jackson has some of the best well water on the planet. Enjoy right out of the tap.

We are located less than 4 miles from I- 40 and close to Highways 45 & 70 — and half-way between Memphis and Nashville.

Although new to Air B&B, we are not new to hosting guests and have done so for 7 years.

Guests at the Alexandria enjoy the entire home located in a private setting with off-street parking and security lights nearly across for the University of Memphis, Lambuth campus.

Other things to note
This home is pet free, however if you left your favorite dog behind there's good news; borrow mine! Duke, our Golden retriever is next door and he loves to fetch, go on walks or swim in the pool.
