All about Shad’s place

It's bright, it's warm, it's clean with a soft comfortable queen sized bed, a private bathroom and a big closet. Your room is on the second floor. Down a flight of stairs is a huge living room with a kitchen, a dining table and a couch area that you will share with the host and other guests. Out the backdoor is a garden. Walk up four flights of stairs to the roof patio for fresh air and a drink against a Brooklyn sunset.

Guest access
Once you have completed your reservation, you will be given 2 four digit codes, one for the front door and one for the 1st floor door. You will be given a pair of keys for the deadbolt on your room door. This is the only set of key that you have to keep track of. The doors don't close without the key so you will never lock yourself out or worry that you might have forgotten to lock the room.

Where you’ll be

Brooklyn, New York, United States

This is an authentic Caribbean-American neighborhood providing an unique Brooklyn experience with rumbling car stereo and outdoor block parties. This less gentrified neighborhood might seem sketchy at first, but it is completely safe with friendly people who hangout outside the community garden and play music. Cheap Caribbean food can be found in the immediate vicinity. For chic and trendy restaurants, you can go one miles north to Bedstuy or one stop on the 4 train to Franklin Av to Crown Height’s restaurant street. There is a large supermarket one block away to the right as you leave the house. Two blocks south of the house is Lincoln Terrace park which features many tennis courts, basketball courts, as well as a hugulculture mound for ecological remediation.

My name is Shad, I'm from Birmingham Alabama but I currently live in Brooklyn Ny. In my spare time I love to cook, workout, write, play sports and spend time with my family, whenever I have the chance to. Having such a strong southern upbringing, my parents always taught me to make people feel welcomed in my space and to cater to my guest needs. I would like to use those values to ensure that each guest has an amazing stay. As a host, I would like to use my southern hospitality to give each guest a sense of home away from home.
