Silvio's place was everything I needed!
Silvio is super welcoming and the basement apt is fully stocked with everything I need for my stay. Silvio also gave great advice about where to go in the city and how to get there via transit. I highly recommend staying with Silvio.
Absolutely loved my stay with Mr Marnelli- he was very accomodating when I arrived early and was a perfect host. The area is close to downtown and within one block of a subway station. Will definitely stay there again!!!
Had a very nice weekend in Winnigpeg. Silvio was a great help with finding the right place to go in Winnipeg and Steinbach. The appartment was nice and clean. Another point for this appartment is, that it is so close to the city. You can walk there in only a few minutes. Would take this appartment again when I'm back in Winnipeg.
Well, now is my time to post a review for Silvio and his lovely and cozy house.
I spent 10 days in Winnipeg and I am impressed with the city and with people most of all. Silvio was first whom I met and he proved that Manitoba is Friendly.
I lived alone in a room which has everything you may have in a hotel. What makes it better than a hotel is that you have access to fully equipped kitchen, utensils, microwave oven, fridge etc.
the location is perfect even if you don't rent a car, but for better comfort and depending on your needs I advise to rent a car. Driving in Winnipeg is a pleasure (comparing with Ukraine). There is a parking lot for Silvio's guests as well. This house is 5 mins walk from the bus stop and Transit system in Winnipeg is very developed. Safeway food store is in 15 mins walk proximity.
The house is clean and tidy. Silvio is very much helpful with any advice you may need.
I fully recommend you Silvio as a very friendly and helpful host. I guarantee you'll post an A+ positive review here after your stay at his accommodation.
I would like to stay with Silvio again, when I come to wonderful Winnipeg.
P.S. If you are coming to Winnipeg for an EV (the ones who are in theme, they know) then this room has good luck, because me and the guests, who stayed before me accomplished the EV successfully:) Take this into consideration ;)
I'd like to thank Silvio, who has been a really friendly host.
I've rented a room at his house during the period of 15-26 June for a very decent price of $39.
If you are for the first time in Winnipeg, Silvio will be of a great help, advising you of the places to visit and helping you in other ways, which makes your stay very comfortable. I am sure no hotel can offer this.
The house is located quite close to the center of the city.
5-10 minutes walking distance to McDonalds and Burger King.
If you do not have the possibility to rent a car, this place might be ideal for you. I've been walking to Downtown every day and it took me approximately 40 minutes to reach any location in the center.
Constant wifi connection, large TV in the living room, all the kitchen facilities. This all makes your stay at Silvio's house very comfortable and nice.
For additional $20, Silvio picked me up at the airport, which was very helpful too, since I was the first time in Winnipeg and did not really know the distance to his house from the airport and the prices of the taxi.
I would definitely recommend Silvio's house as the number one option, if you wish to have a comfortable stay in one of the best areas of Winnipeg.
My stay in Winnipeg was very successful largely due to the fact that I chose this particular BnB. I stayed here for 11 nights.
Silvio was very friendly and accommodating to say the least.
He rented his car to me at an unbeatable price, including insurance and pick up/drop off from the airport.
He also upgraded me to a private RV. There I had everything that I could ever ask for, including many kitchen appliances, 2 TV's + DVD, phone and wireless internet.
In addition, he made sure that I always had everything I needed, providing extra blankets, maps and other things.
I really enjoyed the food and conversation when he took me to a couple of good restaurants downtown and I learned a lot about Winnipeg from him.
The RV is very spacious with a large comfortable bed, lots of room to put your belongings in and full privacy. There was always hot water available instantly.
The location is very quiet and close to downtown and public transportation (bus and rail, although I used the car most of the time during my visit). I would definitely choose to stay here again.
Staying with Siilvio with Daughter Christina Marinelli was my first experience with Airbnb and they have set the bar very high. Silvio and his wife were very personable. The accommodations were very clean and cozy. I could not have asked for a better place to stay, and it was affordable. I didn't think those combinations were available anymore. So grateful for this experience.
Silvio and Laura were GREAT hosts! We felt very at home while staying with them. They are very friendly, we had some great chats with Silvio and they even took us out to their favorite restaurant. We had lots of privacy and didn't even see them some days. We had a great stay, and will definitely stay with them again if we're in Winnipeg. For a first experience with AirBnB I would say it couldn't have gone better!
I had another great stay with Silvio and Laura while working at Winnipeg. It is awesome to have a "home away from home" ... appreciate their friendship and the little bit of time we had to sit down and chat!
