Interaction with Guests
We're frequent travellers ourselves so we understand that you want to make the most of your trip while having a place to feel comfortable returning to.
We want to help you make the most of your time so we are happy to give advice on what to do and where to go. Enda works from home most of the time so is happy to help in any way when in the house.
You will have access to the apartment on the third floor so come and go as you please.
Do come upstairs and tell us how your trip is going (we like a bit of gossip...).
You are in the heart of ‘Silicon Roundabout’ (London’s version of Silicon Valley) so the many bars and coffee shops are buzzing with hip young things fuelling themselves with Flat Whites as they create apps. Walk across the road and you enter the City of London, home of the Barbican Centre, the Museum of London and St Paul’s Cathedral.
Right behind us is the wonderful Ironmonger Row Baths, one of London's oldest Turkish Baths which has recently been beautifully restored. Here you'll find a gym, swimming pool and spa treatments.
We are also cuddling up on one side to Clerkenwell, the design centre of London and home to an array of unusual and decent pubs and eateries. On the other side is Shoreditch which is crammed with cool bars, galleries and shops (try Redchurch Street or Boxpark for edgy/trendy retail).
And that’s just what’s on the doorstep. The big tourist attractions are easily accessed by Tube, bus, bike or even on foot (the West End/Soho is a 35 minute walk in a straight line from us). You can head a little further east to achingly hip Dalston.
The 243 and 55 bus stops are one minute outside the building. You can get to Oxford Street and Covent Garden in 20 mins this way.
Old Street Tube is a five-minute walk away. The station is on the Northern Line and is two stops from Kings Cross and three from Euston. A couple of stops southwards gets you to Moorgate which is minutes on foot from Liverpool St Station. Barbican Station is also close by (10 mins walk) and from there you can reach Paddington Station, Westminster, Knightsbridge and onwards to Wimbledon, Kew Gardens and Heathrow Airport.
It's easy to flag a black cab on the street and there are cab companies nearby if you wish to book longer journeys at reasonable cost.
Other Things to Note
We will prepare the table for you to have breakfast whenever you feel like starting your day.
Help yourself to a large, hearty breakfast including organic Irish porridge oats, tasty granola, Dorset Cereals fruity muesli, granary bread, fresh fruit, yoghurt, orange juice, peanut butter, jams, butter and, of course, coffee (Aeropress and cafetière available) and a selection of teas.
* Please remove your shoes indoors. Definitely no stilettos!
* You are welcome to smoke outside on the balcony, but not indoors. Ask us for an ashtray.
* For your safety and ours, please don't take strangers back to the house.
* You will have our contact details so please let us know what time you expect to arrive. If you are delayed, or think you may be delayed, please let us know by text, email or Airbnb message.
We had a great time. The location was fun, Enda and Andrew were super nice and had good recommendations. Lovely breakfasts. Thanks!!
Thank you very much for everything !!

This was our first AirBnB experience sharing an apartment with the host, and we had a wonderful experience. The apartment was a jewel, beautifully decorated, spotlessly clean, comfortable, and welcoming. The breakfast was amazing, with more than one could ask for.
However, the highlight of our stay was the host, Enda. He is one of the kindest, nicest persons we have ever met. He was also very accommodating, personable, and informative upon our arrival. Andrew was traveling so unfortunately we could not meet him.
The apartment is central location to everything. Restaurants are abundant and close by, as well as Old Street tube station which takes you to all attractions in less than 20 mins.
Shoreditch is 20 mins walking distance, and we recommend to go on Sundays when they have a wonderful flower market, and street food, cute stores, cafes, and restaurants all over Brick Lane. We felt safe wandering the streets day and night.
We would definitely stay there again just to experience more of Enda’s hospitality and friendship!

We really enjoyed staying at Enda's apartment. The room was very good and very clean. Breakfast was also very good, and since I was coughing, Enda prepared a special and healthy shake every morning to help me get better. Very much appreciated!
Enda was very helpful: he had Oyster cards (for London public transportation) ready to use, maps of London and very good answers to all questions we had. He is also extremely nice, and if we ever get back to London, we would definitely stay again at his place.
This was out first experience with Airbnb, and Enda and Andrew could not have provided a more perfect experience. The room is just as described. The location is so convenient to the Tube. The thoughtfulness and care put into every detail: providing maps, suggesting restaurant options and feedback, the fresh squeezed juice medleys as well as the healthy breakfast options all made this an exceptional experience.
And then there is Enda and Andrew. Such warm, welcoming gentlemen! We quickly felt we were among friends. I know they had their daily lives to attend to, but they made us feel like their biggest concern in the world was that or vacation was as we had hoped.
Easy access WiFi? Check. Comfortable bed? Check. Spotless bathroom and shower? Check and check. Tourist information? Check. Breakfast options for dietary restrictions? Check. Great time? Check!
Not only do we recommend Enda and Andrew without reservation, but we look forward to returning!!!
From start to finish, Enda had been so helpful for my husband and I's first visit to London. He provided information about the Oyster Card and suggestions for restaurants around the area. And luckily, we caught him before he was off to a meeting when we first arrived. He was so patient in showing us around the place, which was just as described. I felt so at home when we arrived :)
With such a packed schedule on our itinerary, we thought we wouldn't get a chance to get to know Enda but luckily, that was not the case. We had breakfast in the morning together, and boy, does Enda make the best juices! They got me through the day!! I am surely missing them now :(
The apartment is so convenient to everything, and especially the Tube. We got around everywhere without a hitch. And then there was the apartment itself. The room was spacious and comfortable, and with a nice patio outside. Unfortunately, we had some sad weather during our stay so we couldn't sit outside and just enjoy the sounds of London. I loved that everything was clean and tidy. The only negative was that the elevator was out the time of our visit so lugging our luggage wasn't that fun, but that wasn't their fault.
Now, there's Enda! He's just amazing, and we consider him a friend. He's so easy to talk to, and really cares about his guests. Enda, thank you for a WONDERFUL first AirBnB experience, and from the start of my research, I knew I had to stay with you and I would have been so mad at myself if I chose otherwise. You are such a great host, and you made us feel so comfortable in your home. We only wish we could have met Andrew as well. Take care, and visit us if you ever get a chance :) We miss you!!
About the Host, Enda & Andrew
We’re a couple of laidback guys who have lived in this area for six years. Andrew works in the City and I work from home with my digital marketing/copywriting consultancy.
As hosts we should be able to orient you well for your stay in London. We like to eat out, so we’ll be able to suggest places to eat and drink to suit all tastes and budgets. We’re up to speed with what’s happening in the galleries, museums and theatres around too. Let us know what you are interested in doing when you come to London and we'll have some suggestions for you.
Enda has a slightly too large digital footprint so you can check him out thoroughly (start on about[dot]me/endaguinan )
Andrew is less active on the social sites but will be able to talk endlessly about travel, architecture and history.
We very much like this area as it's easy to get to Oxford St and all of the "must do" tourist attractions, but we love the bustle of the tech/creative types around us (we are in the heart of Silicon Roundabout so expect lots of young people with Apple products discussing their online startups in the local coffee shops). This area snuggles up to the corporate world of the City of London as well as the design/print neighbourhood of Clerkenwell where every other shop sells designer furniture with names that have umlauts.
We travel quite a lot ourselves so we appreciate what it's like. Like us, you probably like to be independent, will head off the beaten track a little (as long as the GPS is working) and then get a decent night's sleep. With us, you'll have your own keys and separate access to the apartment (our living space is upstairs) so you can come and go as you please.
We're looking forward to meeting you and helping you make the most of your stay in grand old London.
