Fully furnished apartment with kitchen, hot water, WiFi and magnificent ocean view from up on the roof.
The full kitchen is ideal for cooking. It has a full size stove, blender, pots, pans, toaster, fridge, etc.
Great location. 3 blocks from Zicatela beach. Quiet neighborhood. Walking distance to restaurants, bars, stores, beach, etc. Easy to catch the bus or taxis out front.
Yoga Center on Roof - Discounts for Guests.
The Casa Mandala neighborhood is great. Whether you want an ice cold beer, or to run to the store for some quick snacks, our hip neighborhood has it all. Casa Mandala is right around the corner from Cafe Deluxe, which serves great health-food.
One of the best things about Puerto Escondido is the availability of transportation. taxis, buses, collectivos (collective vans), and rental car/motorbike services are always around. But being so close to the main strip and popular beaches, your legs can take you wherever you need to go.
The house rules are the basic Mexico apartment rules -
No smoking in the rooms, turn off fan and lights when not there, conserve water, toilet paper in trash, not in the toilets,
no loud noise after 11pm, when you return from the beach please wash sand off in the outside shower by the entrance,
love the place as if it was your own home :-)
Me and my girlfriend (32&29) stayed here for 2 nights in March 2015.
The communication with Marine was always easy and we were grated with an open door.
We met Marine only once more at the beach. She's an Argentinian living the dream in Puerto Escondido. Simple and friendly, dedicated to surf and (website hidden) house has 3 stories with multiple individual micro-apartments and an open patio on top where yoga practice occur. This specific apartment/room we got was on ground level with no sea view. I'm not sure any has such view. The house sits 3 to 5 minutes walk from the beach uphill.
The neighborhood was very calm, safe and also surrounded by other similar houses and small hotels.
For the price we did like the room and I would stay here again.
*this review is for Apt#4 as we were moved when we arrived*
The apartment we stayed in at Casa Mandala was spacious, clean & comfortable. It feels very safe and there's a maid service every other day or so.
Located a few minutes walk to the beach (downhill) there are some great cafes nearby (Spirulina's juices & smoothies are fantastic!) and you're only a short walk to where more of the action is along the seafront, with bars and restaurants such as Casa Babylon and Fish Tacos & Beer.
We ended up extending our stay (in total we were there about a week) as my friend injured her foot and so we were very glad to have the roof terrace upstairs with great sunset views when we couldn't get to the beach. Chris and Marine were very accommodating of us changing our plans, though were perhaps not the most reliable when it came to responding to messages.
I highly recommend this place if you are looking to make yourself at home, cook a little and take your time exploring the area of Puerto Escondido.
I spent a month in this divinely peaceful place. It's the perfect distance from the beach and the action on the strip with a gorgeous view of the patio and lovely staff. I can't imagine staying anywhere else in Puerto Escondido.
Great place - big spacious rooms with shower (& hot water should you need it!) kitchen equipment available if you need to cook but there's so many places to eat close by - Dans Cafe is a 2 minute walk away & great for breakfast. There is also yoga workshops and classes run from the top floor overlooking the sea.
I have only stayed 2 days in a temporary room prior to a two month stay. I'll provide a proper review at the end of my stay.
The reservation was canceled the day before arrival. This is an automated posting.
