  • We had spent 3 nights in this apartment . Rooms are clean, but small. There were shower, internet, TV, and really great Peruvian hot breakfast. The location of this apartment is very good- there are a lot of markets, tourism offices, local cafeterias and the main square is near. But the best thing was heartiness of Ruth and her family! Thanks for all.

  • Paul, Ruth and the family were extremely welcoming and accommodating. We originally had one night reserved, but ended up staying an additional night after a 4-day trek to Machu Picchu. They were so nice as to let my friend and I leave our extra bags that we didn't want to bring on the hike. If I ever come back to Cuzco, which is highly likely, I would love to stay with this family again. They truly made us feel at home and helped us transition to a new city and culture with ease. Thank you to this amazing family!

  • Paul is a great host and has big plans to become the king of hospitality in Cusco. We stayed with his sister, Ruth, and they are both very friendly and helpful. It was a pleasure to get to know the family! Thanks for everything!*

  • Paul, his sister Ruth, and their wonderful family were the most gracious and welcoming hosts. We had absolutely no troubles during our stay and were welcomed back after our trek to Salkantay and Machu Picchu without question. I definitely recommend staying with them in Cusco, as Paul knows much about the city and the people. Hopefully, I will have the chance to return someday and stay with them again.

  • We had a good time at Ruths Place. The flat is basic but absolutely worth the price and Ruth cooked us breakfast every morning. Her tortilla de platano is so delicious! Ruth, Paul and their families are very lovely people. They were helpful all the time and we spend some hours talking and sitting together. Thanks for the great time! Muchas gracias Ruth, para todo - ha sido un placer conocerte!

  • Paul and his sister are absolutely fabulous hosts! Starting from the coordination Paul was always available and quick to respond. He came to the airport to pick us, had recommendations on what to do, where to eat, where and how to do it and even helped us get a sense of what things should cost. Ruth (Pauls sister who actually owns/lives in the apartment) had coca tea ready for us when we got there and made us delicious authentic Peruvian breakfasts every morning. Paul even provided us with a prepaid phone. The apartment itself is quaint the rooms are a great size considering we weren't spending much time in them. The washroom has less amenities then you would expect coming from North America, but for what you're paying you make due with what you've got.
The wifi works decently in the living room and doesn't reach the top floor.
The apartment is in a safe location about 15-20 minutes walk from the main square, super convenient!
Overall great experience with extremely generous hosts, would absolutely recommend to others.

  • The apartment is in a great location; I would highly recommend it. The walk from the house to Plaza de Armas only takes 15-20 minutes. Pretty much everything in Cuzco is a walkable distance. The host is actually Paul's sister, Ruth. She is very very kind and considerate. She doesn't speak much English, but she's learning and always tries her best in understanding you. Ruth and Paul are both very welcoming and always willing to help. They recommended me and my friend great local restaurants and places to visit to complete our experience in Peru.

Regarding the house, Ruth keeps it cozy and clean. But we had little issues with the shower - in order to get hot water the water pressure had to be low; for a decent water pressure, the water would be freezing.

The wifi is better in the living room than the bedroom but still leaves something to be desired (extremely slow).

I highly recommend the stay at Paul's. It's a fantastic price for a private room and bathroom and the location. Ruth lives with her family so you can meet them and practice your Spanish. I had a blast and I have no doubt that you will too.

  • I strongly recommend!
Bet no bnb in cusco would be better than here.
Paul is very helpful, and tried his best to make us staying comfortable and convinient. He gives reply and fixes problems right away!
The room is cozy, 2 persons will fit perfectly. The private bathroom has hot shower.
Unlike typical bnb, Ruth(Paul's sister) actually cooked breakfast for us every morning. It was so nice of her and food was so much delicious.
The location is 15minute walk to touristy plaza.
Good restaurants and cafes are very close, like 5 minute walk.
Hope to stay there again if I have a chance.

  • Paul kindly picked us from the bus station on arrival mid-morning and he and his family gave us a friendly welcome. The room we stayed in was in a convenient and safe location not too far from the main square/area. Unfortunately the room/house originally advertised was not available so we were without wifi and had a shared bathroom - on this basis we decided not to stay the second night particularly because we really needed the internet access; Paul was prompt and responsive in listening to our feedback and providing a full refund under the circumstances.

The room itself was simple with plenty of bedding, and we had ready access to a hot shower. Breakfast was also provided. This particular room was in a friendly family house and most suitable for those who like being in that environment.

I understand this was Paul's first experience as an airbnb host and he was very keen to get our feedback. Although we ended up leaving early, this was promptly and amicably resolved and I hope others will enjoy Paul's hospitality in future.
