Named for a rare Irish trout, Gillaroo House is a beautiful, comfortable and practical home. Modern and well-furnished, this large 4 bedroom, 3 bath home has space for your group to spread out and enjoy relaxing days in this quiet riverfront Russian River neighborhood.
Gillaroo House is a two-story home with the entrance on the lower level. As you walk in the front door, the open living/dining/kitchen is to the right, and doors to one full bath and the downstairs bedroom are straight ahead. The staircase to the upper floor is to the left. Natural light illuminates the main living area. The living room offers a flat screen television for watching cable TV as well as a DVD player. A fully-equipped kitchen offers a gas range, dishwasher and icemaker. Upstairs features 3 bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms. The master bedroom is a world unto itself with a luxurious King bed, private balcony with views of the hills (and a tiny peak of the river) and a master bathroom with a bath tub, walk-in shower and double vanity. A walk-in closet is located off the master bathroom. The second bedroom features a Queen bed; the third bedroom features a Queen bed and a Twin bunk bed. There is a full bathroom with a tub/shower combo off the hallway.
Sunshine is abundant in this location. Various areas of the outdoor living space alternate between sun and shade throughout the day to suit everyone’s preference. The large front porch has French doors leading into the inside dining area and looks out over a small landscaped yard and driveway. The side patio has a gas barbecue and a lovely outdoor dining set. To the back of the house is the master bedroom balcony and a gate leading out to a small graveled riverfront lane.
Access to a large neighborhood beach is less than half a block from the back gate, just four doors down. Gillaroo House is surrounded by a tall privacy fence.

Interaction with guests
Guests will be sent detailed check in instructions and a rental contract once their reservation is confirmed, and our office has received their email and physical mailing addresses. Gillaroo House has a keyless entry system, and check in is at 4pm. The key code will be sent along with your detailed check in instructions. Our office is open until 5pm each day. We are happy to help in any way we can to make your stay more enjoyable! There is an emergency line available to guests after office hours.

In general, night minimums are as follows:
-Two night minimum October to Memorial Day Weekend (holidays have a higher night minimum)
-Three night minimum Memorial Day Weekend through late June, and September
-Four night minimum end of June through August, expect week minimum over the July 4th Holiday and the first week of August.
-Major holidays including Thanksgiving, Winter Break and President's Day may have a longer night minimum.
Reservations not adhering to these night minimums will not be accepted.
RENTAL RATES: The rental rates and cleaning fee include 2% Business Area Improvement Fee charged by the County of Sonoma. There is a $49 non-refundable Vacation Rental Damage Protection Plan fee for all reservations, already included in the cleaning fee.

In order to activate the vacation rental damage protection plan included in your rental fees, please provide your billing address, phone number, & email address in the note with your reservation. If this is an issue, please contact us before making a reservation.
The maximum number of people allowed on the property is 10. Exceptions can be made for children under 3. In general, two additional day guests maybe allowed at no extra cost, as long as Russian River Vacation Homes has given guest prior written approval. This home does not have a permit for parties, large gatherings, or events.
QUIET HOURS: Quiet hours are from 10:00 p.m. until 7:00 a.m. Outdoor amplified sound is prohibited at any time.
PARKING: The garage is available for parking. There is additional parking in the driveway, for a total of 4 parking spaces. RVs, trailers and campers are prohibited, per the Sonoma County Vacation Rental Ordinance.
-After making a booking and providing their contact information, guests will be sent a contract with our terms in detail to sign and return.
-No same-day reservations past 2pm. Our office closes at 5pm. It should not happen, but in case the system is allowing you to book for same-day arrival and it is after 2pm, please reach out to us before completing your reservation. If it is after 5pm, please do not complete your reservation; no one will be available to process your reservation and prepare for your arrival.
-We adhere to the above night minimums. If your reservation seems to go through for less than the stated night minimums, or if the availability seem too good to be true, be aware that the system may be experiencing an integration issue and your reservation may not be accepted. Again, if you have any concerns, please don’t hesitate to contact us.
CHECK IN/CHECK OUT
Check in is at 4pm for all of our Homes. Check out for Gillaroo House is 12pm. Guaranteed paid Early Check ins and Check outs are sometimes possible during our off-season. Non Paid Early Check ins are occasionally a possibility if the home has been released by the inspector ahead of schedule. If you are interested in a non paid early check in, please contact our office on the morning of your arrival date to check the inspector's schedule. Non paid late check outs are very rarely available.
DOGS: This home is not dog friendly, and does not allow pets of any kind. If you have a dog that travels with you, please ask about our dog friendly homes.
FUTURE CONTACT: Confirmed guests will be asked to provide their physical address and email address.
