This is a beautiful and spacious loft in a brand new building on Bedford Avenue- the center of all Brooklyn good life.
Located 1 stop from Manhattan on the L and the JMZ subway lines, you have access to the city and the coolest part of Brooklyn!
Make yourself at home! At your disposal is a comfortable lounge and dining area bathrooms and a kitchen that are cleaned professionally every day.
Your room has a comfortable double bed, as well as central air conditioning and heat to battle the hot NYC summers and cold winters.
Included are a rainfall shower, brand new fully equipped kitchen, in wall stereo system, and accessible roof deck.
Your room has a brand new SUPER COMFY mattress, armoire to hang clothing, and a blow dryer and mirror to do your hair and makeup. Clean towels are provided, and there is laundry in the building if you run out of clean clothing - wash anything during your stay.
Interaction with Guests
There are 4 rooms rented on AirBnB in this apartment, so you will be sharing it with other travelers and explorers like yourself. This is so much fun! We often end up with a diverse group from all over the world coming together for coffee in the morning and drinks around the neighborhood.
Williamsburg is an eclectic and VERY safe neighborhood. You will be right around the corner from vintage boutiques, Michelin restaurants, nightlife, a thriving music scene, food trucks and great transit options, from the water taxi to streets easily traveled by foot.
This building is located 2 blocks from the entrance to the Williamsburg Bridge, so if you are biking (bike rentals 1 block away) or driving you are literally minutes from Manhattan. You will also be 1 stop from Manhattan by either the L train or the J and M subway lines.
Other Things to Note
Some neighborhood highlights include:
Knitting Factory – the epicenter of the Brooklyn music scene. See the Strokes before they make it big, or on Sunday see Saturday Night Live writers do standup. 5 minute walk.
Brooklyn Bowl – go listen to Questlove of the Roots DJ every Thursday night. 5 minute walk.
Brooklyn Brewery – tour and taste one of America’s finest microbreweries. 5 minute walk.
Be considerate of your neighbors.
Clean up after yourself when using the roof.
Keep the fan on during and after you shower to prevent mildew.
Don't play music on the wall speakers after 10 PM on Sun-Thur night, and midnight on Friday and Saturday night.
No guns, no fighting, no smoking.
Try and be as cool as you can and everything will be awesome.
We like it a lot. Thanks for your hospitality. Your place rocks ;). We will come back!!
We ended up staying an extra night in New York due to a cancelled flight, and were set up at Tania's place. It was beautiful and bright, with high ceilings and a gorgeous bathroom. Great place to stay!
Big disappointment on arrival : the floor of the room was not clean, the sheets were not clean and the walls and the door were disgusting . No opportunity to "clean up" the bathroom after the passage of a host that has no respect for others (water and hair everywhere).
The curtain of the window is smaller than the window and transparent so no privacy in the room.
9 persons for one single bathroom means queuing for the toilet or take a shower , it looks like the campsite.
Blower heater is very noisy.
Picture 12/36 is not accurate, there is no window in the apartment (and this causes a problem when the fire alarm starts as there is no possibility to bring fresh air).
Very nice and safe neighborhood (but also dirty) with nice shops and great restaurants. Metro is close and gives easy access to Manhattan in minutes.
Great place and great people!
The room was comfortable, clean, quiet. The location of the apartment is really convenient and the neighborhood and seemed safe. Getting into the apartment and my room was also easy. There are some good spots to eat close by and a metro stop is a few minutes away. I would stay here again and would recommend the place to a friend.
Everything was great, completely hassle-free. I really appreciated the lists of events and fun places to go in the neighbourhood. I never actually took advantage of it, but it was good to have backup plans.
This was excellent value. Great location in Williamsburg, short walk from subway. Nice apartment building. Clear instructions from Julian how to access the building, the apartment and your room. There were lots of people already in the apartment when I arrived (late on a Saturday night) but they were nice. Room was fine, basic but clean sheets and bed comfy so I slept really well. Great shower. I didn't meet Julian but he wished me well from his travels. Definitely recommend if you want somewhere clean, cheap and in a good spot.

Julian: Jolly, laid back, and open minded (closed to close mindedness). I enjoy thoughts and discussions in the hypothetical.
In a nutshell I prefer "why not" to "why"
On another note, I think cereal is humanity's high water mark, and I mean that in the most complimentary fashion.
Tania: Equal parts actress, intellectual, hippie, and clown. I enjoy spirited discussion, comedy, and carefree dancing.
Also, I am slightly addicted to chocolate.
