Our new duplex apt with historic flavour is located in the heart of the city! It comfortably fits 4 and you can walk everywhere, between Zocalo and Alameda. Enjoy the majesty of an 18 C. mansion, full kitchen and 5 min walk to major public transport.
Ideal for short, medium and long stays for solo travelers, couples or groups of up to 4 people. This UNIQUE Cozy Fully Furnished apartment is in an entirely restored 18th Century MANSION. With a PERFECT LOCATION, Casa Borda is 20 meters off Madero Street in the middle of the Historic Center of Mexico City Between the Zocalo and Bellas Artes. You’ll find yourself in a high SECURITY building walking distance to most of the sights this iconic city has to offer. DUPLEX and BALCONY apartment with the full excitement of enjoying the view and spectacle of the street while enjoying the comfort and security of Casa Borda.
Why legendary Balcony? Because the apartment gives to the balcony that went around the block and was designed specially to enable the Wife and Daughters of Mr Borda to walk without mixing with the "people" on the street the legend says. Yes, you ll be able to see the Turibus from the Balcony talk about the house and the legend and yes you should be aware that noise from the street can be expected, not the ideal for very light sleepers.

I live in the same building and work around the neighbourhood. I do like to interact with guests but have a clear understanding of privacy. I usually check guests in and sometimes greet goodbye. I am always available through the system or by phone on short notice.
The Centro Historico is up and running, though vibrant it is statistically the safest neighbourhood in the City, its is named after its historical position and its colonial period buildings and monuments, like the main plaza Zocalo, the Templo Mayor pyramids, the Murals, the Torre Latinoamericana, and some of Mexico’s finest historic and contemporary museums. Clean and safe, close to grocery stores and great places to eat out, like the gourmet market of San Juan, traditional Mexican and International restaurants and taquerias/cantinas, all budgets. Enjoy a morning run or night walk in the recently restored Alameda park.
Two blocks away to major transportation systems like the Metrobus and the Subway to move around the city to the airport, bus stations and other neighbouring colonias such as Condesa, Roma, Polanco and Coyoacan.
From the airport: I recommend a Taxi (20USD and 40 min) an alternative is public transit, Metrobus, stop Bellas Artes then 5 min walk (4USD per person and 35 min), which is clean, fast and new.
To Condesa and Roma Metrobus or taxi: 25 minute ride there and vice versa.
To Coyoacan and Bus terminals: Subway different direct lines.
To Reforma (financial district): 20 minute walk by the Alameda park and up and down the avenue with the bus or subway.
Teotihuacan pyramids: subway to bus station and then bus to the pyramids or through a tour operator.

The Centro Historico of Mexico - City is a very noisy place, but we were lucky to stay and relax at the nice and well equipped apartment of Juan Carlos
who is an excellent host and arranged for us a friendly taxi driver
who was able to find the places out of the city we wanted to visit.
Thanks for your kindly help.
JC was a great host and although I never actually met him was extremely responsive to any question I had (over e-mail). His place is amazing and the location is perfect. If I ever come back to Mexico City (and I hope I do), I will definitely stay at his place again!
Terrific stay! Lovely loft. Clean, well appointed, very nice as central location. Thank you for our wonderful visit!
Juan Carlos is an amazing and attentive host. This apartment is impeccably clean, well-decorated, and situated right in the heart of the city. The building itself is somewhat awe-inspiring. I stayed here with two others and Juan brought in an extra bed to accommodate us all. I will definitely stay here again.
Staying at Juan Carlo's apartment was fantastic. The location was perfect. Juan Carlos was very accommodating and provided information that helped our stay. He is very responsive and easy to work with. One note for others is that the location is in a very central part of the city. This means that there are fun things to do in easy walking distance at all hours. This also means that there will be a little more street traffic which may get loud sometimes. This wasn't a problem for us, but may be an issue for those preferring a quiet place at night. For me, I loved the entire experience and would return to stay here again!
JC is a very friendly and nice person. He is very helpfull host.

Juan Carols was a wonderful host! He was there to greet us upon our arrival at the apartment and was available via email throughout our stay. We loved the apartment. It is in a prime location, near the Zócalo and may great places to eat and shop. We would definitely stay there again if we return to DF.
Probably the best place where to stay in Mexico City! Near everything you will need or desire for a pleasant stay in the city. Highly recommended.
Juan Carlos' apartment is an excellent base to explore mexico city from. Close to the metro, the historic centre and food or shopping. Excellent communication as well.
