Imagine a quiet bedroom in a spacious apartment, with beautiful sunlight, just steps from the terrific restaurants and shops of this wonderful neighborhood. Near many subway stops (1/2 block from the R train), easy to get to Manhattan; four blocks from Prospect Park; near to the Brooklyn Botanic Garden and Brooklyn Museum. You'll have the best of both worlds: you'll be in a fun, hip, laid-back neighborhood, but close to the sights and action of Manhattan!
The apartment is a duplex with two large bedrooms, two full baths, fully stocked kitchen, dw, wi-fi. You would be sharing the place with me (and my cat) - I'm in the upstairs bedroom and have my own bathroom, you have the downstairs bedroom (double bed; there is a queen-size raised aerobed if you prefer) and bathroom, and we share the open living/kitchen/dining area.
I'd greatly appreciate it if you would make an inquiry so we can e-chat for a bit before sending an offer. Thanks!
There is a fold-down couch in the living room, where one adult or two children can sleep for an additional charge of $25/night. Please note, though, that the living room is an open space directly adjacent to the kitchen/dining area.
There is a cleaning fee of $60.
There is a refundable security deposit of $250.
No smoking. No pets - my cat loves humans, but not other animals.

Liz's place was a perfect hideaway for my week in Brooklyn. Great location, bright and airy, and I'll definitely miss Allie the Cat! Liz was very welcoming, made me feel right at home, and left clear instructions. The room was bright and airy, comfortable bed, and plenty of room to store your stuff. While I didn't get to spend much time with Liz it's clear she enjoys having people and is the ultimate host. Recommended!
My girlfriend and I decided to be tourists in our own city for a weekend, and stayed at Elizabeth's apartment in Park Slope. We could not have been more happy with our decision, or have had a more accommodating and friendly host! Her home is light, comfortable and airy, and is in a great neighborhood close to unlimited places to dine and go out. The bed may have been a double but was very comfortable nonetheless for 2. We would happily stay there again!
My sister and I had a great time during our staying at Elizabeth apartment for ten days. Elizabeth is a very considerate and kind host. I think that I am lucky to meet her during my first trip to NYC. Sometimes, she is so busy that she is not around. However; you can always keep in touch with her via phone and email. And her cat, Allie, is lovely so you cannot help falling in love with her.
The apartment is light, specious, clean and cozy. It is very close to R line subway to Manhattan, just around the corner. The area, park slope, seems to me very safe place and looks like a family residence since you can see lots of people pushing their baby strollers around.
This is the first time for me to use airbnb service. At first, I was a little bit worried about staying at the unknown’s house. Nevertheless, I found now that I am not reluctant any more to use the airbnb again thanks to wonderful experience of staying at Elizabeth’s apartment. I gladly recommend her to anyone who is planning to visit NYC. Jin
Well, this was my third stay with Liz, which says it all really. My son lives in Park Slope and I visit from time to time. When I first discovered Liz on Airbnb, I certainly hit gold. She is an extremely nice person, generous and an excellent host. Liz is a busy lady who is not always around, but is only a phone call or email away if necessary. Her apartment is light, airy and facilities offered are of a high standard. The area is great with a plenty of shopping and restaurants within easy walking distance. The subway to Manhattan is only half a block away. If my son continues to live in New York then I hope he stays in Park Slope! Thanks so much Liz for helping make my stay in New York so easy. Look forward to seeing you again - Yvonne
I had a wonderful time staying at this warm and welcoming park slope home. Elizabeth was friendly and accomodating; even helping me out with recommendations about the neighborhood. I was very happy to be affectionately met by Allie-Cat when I returned after being out by myself all day. If you are looking for comfortable accomodations where you will truly feel at home, look no further. :)

In truth, I started with airbnb to bring in some additional funds. In reality, I never knew this could be so much fun! I love meeting people from all over the states and all over the world, including Croatia, Germany, Israel and Vermont!
If you're renting one bedroom from me, my bedroom/bathroom are upstairs, so you'll see me around breakfast; but, I work a lot and want you to feel like the place is your own - to enjoy the tv/stereo in the living room, to cook meals in the kitchen, and to come and go without feeling like you need to check in. At the same time, if you need anything from me, please let me know and I'll do my best to make it happen!
If you're renting the full place, I know you will enjoy your yourselves. The apartment is big (even by non-NYC standards); comfortable, but not pretentious. And, of course, there's Allie the cat, who is totally sweet and very people-friendly (though, sadly, she doesn't like other critters).
Let me know if you have questions. I'll be happy to host you!
