Safe and super charming neighborhood (no hipsters yet), "The only part of Manhattan still looking like in 1950's" as someone told me. It's a a great location, short to walk to Soho, Tribeca, Lower East Side.
Laundromat and coffee shop are downstairs in the building (Coffee in this part of town is $1) There’s also 24/7 Deli on the corner.
The apartment is walking distance to lower Manhattan, SOHO, the West Village and Tribeca. The Brooklyn Bridge is a 15 min walk from my house. Times Square is 20 minutes by subway.
The MTA Bus stop is 2 minutes from the house and goes all the way uptown on the east side. Subway is on the same street, 7 minutes walk from the house. F train (East Broadway stop). The apartment is located between the Manhattan and the Brooklyn Bridge. Good location for runners, two blogs from the water. It's a safe and at night pretty quiet neighborhood. Lots of great and affordable restaurants around.

I will meet the guest.
I was told that Chinatown is how New York was in the 50's. It's very cinematic, quiet at night, busy and colorful during the day. Authentic part of New York. Hipster free. World on it's own.
M15 bus, F train stop East Broadway, City Hall subway. You can walk from here pretty much anywhere. The Brooklyn Bridge is 15 min walk from the apartment.
You are free to use everything in the kitchen and any tea and coffee you would like. I will provide you with clean bedding and towel. Please no drugs, visitors or animals in the apartment. It's very easy, not complicated apartment. If you want any help navigating the city I will be more then happy to help out, please let me know!
Don't look any further, stay here! The apartment is small but cozy and equipped with everything you may need. It's conveniently located in Chinatown close to SoHo, Brooklyn and several metro lines, sorrounded by tasty and cheap food places. I haven't met Bara in person, but she made me feel welcome even before I arrived. The communication was very easy and she gave me plenty of good advice. I would stay here again.
First of all, was a brilliant experience in general staying at Bara's place. I felt welcome even before coming to NYC. Bara wrote me a massive list with the places to go, which was perfect to discover real NYC as well as all little things in the flat such as my towels and she even left shampoos for me. Was exactly as she describes, nice and cosy place to stay.
Bara was very warm and made me feel at home in her place. She was lovely to talk to and even introduced me to some people in New York with similar interests to my own.
The location is great, right in Chinatown with easy access to all of Manhattan. I was working in Brooklyn while taking in lots of Manhattan at night and everything was very easily accessible from this location. I'll try to stay here again if I return to NY!
Everything was very suitable and as expected for my trip.
Good communication from Bara, and I would be happy to stay with her in the apartment again.
Well I enjoyed my stay from the first day. I will definitely come back soon.
Bara is trully nice and kind. She was always there when I needed her help or advice.
The area is lilvely and safe, there are loads of nice places to eat at, a laundry downstairs and a subway just a few steps down the street.
I felt very welcome and comfortable at Bara's place so I definitely recommend her as a perfect host.
Bara's place was perfect for me and matched the description listed. Even though we hardly saw each other in the two weeks I was there I always felt welcome. On for sick on the second day of my trip and she made me lunch(best pasta ever) and loaned me a book to read. The building is secure and safe and is about a 10-15 minute walk to subway stations. I would definitely stay here again on future trips!
