Other Things to Note

Be clean, respectful to others on property. Common sense is always a good practice. No jumping, yelling running indoors or too loud music. No smoking on premises allowed. Please follow common swimming pool rules for everyone's enjoyment. When in doubt, ask. We live next door and are here to assist you and make your stay a memorable one. There is no central air. We have provide air conditioning in the bedrooms for our guests comfort at bedtime. We strongly encourage our guests to use them for that purpose. High energy costs in the Island does not allow us the luxury of central air. We are an Eco friendly property.
This was my very first time using AirBnB like guest and had amazing experience! Me and my husband, we went to Puerto Rico for our honeymoon. I decided to book Socorro's place because I saw all the great reviews she got. Check-in was very easy, her place is very easy to find. Socorro gave us very detailed instruction how to get to her place which was very helpful. Her place looks is exactly like on pictures and exactly how she describes in info. Apartment is very spacious, clean and cozy. Plenty of towels, beach chairs, cooler and the best thing - Air-condition in bedroom. We could not be more satisfied. Socorro's place looks like a little magic garden, she has big tree house for massages, jacuzzi, heated pool, land turtle, two birds, two very friendly dogs, Zero and Rufus (me & my husband we love them!) Socorro made us a great dinner one night, we also met hers son Cedric, very smart young gentleman. All family members have been always so helpful and friendly, I really felt like at home. I could not ask for better host, we are definitely coming back. XOXO
Another great stay but was too short! We were only able to stay one night before having to fly back home. We had a great time in Puerto Rico and wished we could have stayed longer. The apartment was clean and had everything we needed. The location is great - close to the rain forest, Fajardo Ferry, and is an easy drive from San Juan airport. Socorro, Jose, and Cedric were very helpful and kind. We hope to make it back!
Cedric ans Socorro were wonderful, very friendly ans facilitated our stay at their nice cabin/apt in Fortuna Beach. It is minutes from EL Yunque and the Fajardo Light House park, which makes it perfect if you wish to visit or work there. THis time they let us borrow their kayaks and we went for a beautiful ride up the river towards El Yunque that was magnifiscent!
We really enjoyed our stay. We just needed somewhere to stay close to some tourist attractions and not far from the ferry to Culebra and it was perfect for us. The property is large well kept and we came and went as we pleased. There was just two of us however the place would definitely be comfortable for four or more people as there was a lot of space. We hung out in the Jacuzzi under a full moon on our first night that was a highlight. Not far down the road was a huge stretch of kiosks that offered cheap meal deals and happy hours that we took advantage of and played pool. We met Socorro on our check out and she was professional and a lovely lady. would highly recommend to others. (Bring bug spray ;)
The apartment is very clean and the grounds are nicely landscaped. The coqui frogs make wonderful sounds at night. Socorro was incredibly friendly and helpful. It is a great base for exploring el yunque and eating at the kioskos. It is a block from the ocean, but the local beaches are pretty dirty. Some of the others staying here walked 15 minutes to the other side of the river to use the cleaner beaches at rio grande.
We really enjoyed our stay here. It was just as described, so the only surprises were good ones: plenty of extra towels for the shower and the pool, a cooler, beach chairs and bikes we could use, and very cute and friendly dogs and cat that visited us from Socorro's house next door :-) Socorro and her family were very welcoming and helpful, made us feel at home, and gave us great info. Things we would recommend in the neighborhood: walking down to the river to watch the sunset, visiting the #29 restaurant at the kioskos, and swimming at the Balneario La Monserrate (our favorite of the nearby beaches). Their pool is lovely, and sitting outside in the evening listening to the frogs sing under the starry sky was just the kind of "night life" we had hoped for. Thanks Socorro, Cedric and family for having us, it was like visiting friends!

Hi, I'm Cedric, you can call me Ced.
I'm a percussionist, drummer and music teacher. I'm an artisan whenever I get my hands on some driftwood or beads and string, and a college student. Talking about myself is not my best quality so hopefully we'll just meet in person. I love all types of arts, nature, animals and meeting new people. I really like learning about other cultures, their music and ways of life. I know my way around the island VERY well and I'll be more than happy to help in any way I can! Adventures and other fun outdoors activities are something I try to enjoy often so feel free to ask, "What's there to do around here?" and I'll draw you a map to the Rainforest and on the way you can stop at the zip lining park or go horse back riding at the beach.
If I'm out at college during your stay my mom, Socorro, will be here to welcome you and assist you in anyway she can. We live in the house next door.
Socorro is a hard working wife, mother of two young men, massage therapist , nature lover, animal lover. Sixteen years in the Hotel Industry allowed her to dream about a Lodging place where guests can enjoy more than a roof and good food, but also experience our warm, rich, fun culture.
We enjoy long walks on the beach, kayaking and lite cooking (rather eat out any day). We live on premises, so we are available to our guests 24/7. We enjoy bike riding and the movies. YES, we have our outside movie projector ready for any given evening. Popcorn too. We are located a block away from the beach, two blocks away from the Mameyes River (great Kayaking area) and 25 minutes away from one of the 3 Bio-luminescent bays of the Island (only five known in the world). We are 5 minutes away from a Ranch that offers Horseback riding, Go Karts and Fourtracks rentals. Oh yes; we always have coconut water!!!
