About This Listing
This beautifully furnished home in Noe Valley is a classic San Francisco flat located at the top of a two-unit building. The space is inundated with natural sunlight, with two quiet bedrooms in the back - one bedroom has a comfortable queen-sized bed with a large outdoor deck, and the other bedroom is configured as a media room (for an additional fee this can be configured with a queen size bed).
The front of the house is dominated by a large living room and long bank of original bay windows overlooking Noe Valley. Throughout you will find many spaces where you can relax: a comfortable couch in front of a wood-burning fireplace, a cozy and well-appointed den, and a small breakfast nook adjacent to the kitchen.
The kitchen was remodeled with high-end appliances several years ago, and features a fully restored 1952 Wedgewood stove, custom cabinets, and restored douglas fir flooring. Those who love to cook will find all the equipment one might need. There are several excellent local markets nearby and a farmer's market in the neighborhood every Saturday morning.
Also note that the streetcar stop is a block away, and the subway six blocks. Private washing and drying machines are also available in the first floor garage for laundry.
Interaction with Guests
When not upstairs I stay with my brother downstairs, so I am always nearby if a guest has questions or needs any assistance.
Please be considerate of neighbors, particularly the owner of the second unit in the building (he is my brother). Also note the flat is strictly non-smoking. Please smoke outside in the front of the house or on the back deck. When exiting for the day, please be sure to turn off the main lights and heat, and be certain the stove and burners are in the off position. Never leave a fire in the fireplace unattended. At present there are no available parking spots in the garage.
We really enjoyed our stay at this gorgeous flat. Beautiful decor with upscale appliances. The location was perfect, public transportation right outside the door, and walking distance to many restaurants and entertainment. Chris was a wonderful host, always a phone call away and very helpful. we would definitely stay here again if we return to the San Francisco area.
We had a fantastic stay in Christophers apartment, which is located in a lovely neighborhood. The beds were absolutely comfortable, the apartment was well-equipped and very tastefully furnished. Christopher himself was very kind and reachable at any time. He was immediately helpful. His friend did let us in, which was absolutely fine. Check-in as well as check-out was absolutely comfortable. All in all it was a fantastic stay, thanks a lot.
This house was an amazing place to stay! It was so comfortable and had great style. We loved spending time in it. It had all the amenities we needed and the kitchen was well stocked with equipment so we could make our own meals.
Would definitely stay here again.
Beautiful apartment! Well decorated! Clean. Convenient to Noe Valley! Very nice and helpful host, Chris!
This Airbnb has completely spoiled me! The apartment is a beautiful renovated fully equipped 2 bedroom in a fun, funky neighborhood. The floors and fireplace and amazing natural light made coming "home" a pleasure. I hosted a board meeting dinner and really appreciated the cooking tools, many place settings and large gorgeous dining table. The beds are comfy, the kitchen was really big and supplied those otherwise annoying things like spices.
The neighborhood is safe and has several restaurants and coffee shops in walking distance. It is easily accessed by the Muni J Church line and an easy 20 min from the Moscone Conference Center. This was so much more pleasant for my 4 day stay than a crowd hotel room!!
Thank you Chris and Airbnb!!
We had a fabulous time in Christopher's gorgeous apartment. The place is beautifully decorated and laid out, with lots if space for us and our teenage children to hang out. It is in an excellent position - right opposite the stop for the J, which takes you straight into the heart of the City; and around the corner from the numerous bars, restaurants and coffee shops of 24th street. If you'd rather stay in in the evenings, it is really well set up for cooking and entertaining - infact we cooked in every night because it was such a lovely place to hang out.
Christopher was a fantastic host. He was always very prompt to reply and was keen to accommodate our requests.
About the Host, Christopher
Originally from Portland, Oregon, I have lived in San Francisco since 2005. I love to travel and have been lucky enough to have spent time all over Europe, Asia and Latin America. I look forward to hosting you in my favorite city of them all!
Breakfast and lunch. Busy busy so get there early on a weekend
Local dry cleaner - love this place. They are efficient and reasonably priced, and do all sorts of mending
Solid mid-week takeout
Self explanatory - but they sell all sorts of liquors and beers as well
Great place to check out on Saturday morning, just a short stroll away
Cheese - they have much cheese. From all over
You know this joint. Comprehensive grocery store in a small refurbished space - with a TINY parking area
Local old school butcher, purportedly one of the oldest continuously operating businesses in the state of California
These are so good. You can't each just one. Actually...buy a few, get some good ice cream, and make some crazy ice cream sandwiches. Holy s*%$!
Yum - pastries, pies, cakes, quiche etc etc
Tiny but great locally owned produce store. This plus a trip to Drewes is generally all one needs
