Other Things to Note
There are a couple of areas that will be off limits and will have locks on them. They are one of the upstairs rooms, and two small closets in Bedrooms. There is also an apartment in the lowest level of the house with a completely separate entrance around back under the deck which has permanent tenants. Please be mindful of your noise levels late at night.
No smoking inside, please be mindful of noise because we are renting the apartment in the basement out and they can hear loud music, loud foot steps, etc. Please treat our place like it was your own, and have fun! I'm open to well trained dogs as long as you pick up after them, but no cats please.
This was one of my favorite Airbnb experiences. The house was beautiful, exactly as pictured. It was walking distance to a few restaurants and only about a 10-15 minutes walk to downtown. The hosts were very pleasant and easy to communicate with before and during the stay. They were willing to accommodate an early check-in and they ensured we had everything we needed. They provided restaurant and hiking trail suggestions as well as a brewery guide and a few hiking guides. They also left helpful notes to ensure we knew where extra towels, linens and toiletries were located. We were delightfully surprised to find snacks, tea and coffee on the counter and a fridge stocked with eggs, milk, butter, biscuits and bottled water with a note that read "help yourself". The hosts went out of their way to ensure we had a great experience. I would definitely recommend this place.
Matt & Sarah were great hosts. Their home is beautiful and close to downtown. They offered great suggestions for hiking, eating, and exploring Asheville. We can't wait to return. Have already recommended their home to friends :).
Great house in a great location. Super friendly hosts. This made for a great experience and fun weekend in Asheville.
Matt and Sarah made sure that everything about our stay for a bachelorette weekend in Asheville was absolutely perfect! They left us essential food stuff like milk and butter, and had the perfect house for us to have a night in, and come home to after being out. Everyone was commenting how it didn't seem like we were actually away, but rather, in one of our own homes, which was exactly the look and feel we were going for. Now I just need to find another weekend to come back!
This home was exactly as described. The location was great, and it was immaculate. Matt and Sarah communicated with us several times to be sure all was well. We enjoyed our stay and will stay here again if we have the chance.
Lovely Home by Downtown in Asheville was perfect. It was the right size, comfortable and well laid out. The bedrooms are upstairs and quiet, cozy and wonderfully warm (we were there in the middle of a deep freeze!). The kitchen was welcoming and the front porch beckoned but it was too cold the day we were there. Matt was very accommodating and helpful. He had the place ready when we got there and we could not ask for more. Matt's suggestions about eating/drinking/relaxing places was bang on - we hit three of the five places he recommended and were thrilled with each as they all hit the spot for what we wanted. The house is walking distance from everything - we walked even to the Trader Joe's up the street. We are already planning our return for a longer stay. You cannot go wrong with this great house, location and host!
We had a great weekend at Matt and Sarah's lovely home, which was located super-close to downtown Asheville. It was too cold to walk, but if it had been warmer, we definitely would have.
The house was adorable and spotlessly clean, and Matt and Sarah had left some chocolates along with staples like coffee and tea. Check-in was easy, and Matt texted a few times during the weekend to see if we needed anything. He recommended several restaurants, and the one we went to was excellent.
All in all, a terrific airbnb experience. Highly recommended!
We are an active, fun-loving couple that do a lot of Hiking and Biking around the Mountains. We love Downtown Asheville and walk there quite often. We got married in the summer of 2013.
