Comfortable, beautiful home with natural light, great trees. Easy access to downtown, east side, airport, food destinations, University of Texas, Dell Children's (perfect for locum tenens). Private bathroom. Great night's rest on organic mattress in quiet neighborhood.

The space

The space is inviting and inspired. People comment immediately how comfortable they feel here, and how well they sleep. Great neighbors who all know one another but maintain privacy. It's convenient to Austin's most popular destinations, while predictably quiet at night.

Wi-fi, private bath, iPhone/iPad docking stereo in room, shared living room, dining room and kitchen. Austin is best by car for most people.

Big trees, quiet at night, tightly-knit neighbors who care for one another while respecting privacy. The neighborhood sounds are one of my favorite things. Kids at play, lots of birds, no incessantly barking dogs or inconsiderate neighbors. People wave and smile.

Readily accessible to any part of Austin. Two blocks from UT Shuttle. Austin best with a car though!

Guest access

Wi-fi, dedicated private bath very close in hall, clean linens and towels, iron, hair dryer, charging strip, shared living room, dining room and kitchen. Except for extended stays, closet space is limited.

Interaction with guests

Please note my account does not accept requests if your profile is not complete.

Usually you're welcomed in person and given information to make the most of your stay. The house is shared, though generous amounts of common space and your private bedroom/bath allow you to select if you interact.

I didn't stay at Theresa's but she was very communicative and thorough throughout the booking process.

Theresa was kind enough to host us during Hurricane Harvey. She offered her place last minute and could not have been a better host. She got the space ready in a short amount of time and was excellent in communicating with us before and during our stay. The room itself was perfect for two of us, with Theresa next door and lots of shared space available. The location is quiet, residential, and a short drive to many hot spots in Austin. Theresa was an excellent host and very kind for taking us during our evacuation. We'd love to stay again when circumstances are better.

Theresa's home is lovely and beautiful. The room is airy and light, with a very comfortable bed and more than enough pillows. There is a large private bathroom with a great shower in the hallway. Theresa was a great host in giving me very clear and explicit directions on how to enter her home, and was accomodating in offering me keep my luggage past check out time for my later flight. Theresa herself is a delight to talk to :) This place would probably be best for single travelers or couples just looking for somewhere to sleep, which is what I did.

I stayed with Theresa many times while working in Austin this past spring. She is hands down the best host that I have ever met through Airbnb and I will miss chatting with her. If I am ever working in or visiting Austin in the future, Theresa's house will be at the top of my list. Thanks again for everything and making me feel right at home.

Another great stay with Teresa. This is the third time I have stayed with her while in Austin working. Still have two more weekends booked with her before I leave June 18th. Wonderful host, amazing home and central location to everything.

Theresa User ProfileTheresa is a superhost.

I make maps for a living and love people, food, art, swimming, my fantastic friends, our dinner parties, music, my work, travel and playing outside. I thrive on creating interior spaces that provoke interest but allow for recharging at day's end. As a veteran Austinite, I can direct you to authentic places and things to do.

One of my favorite experiences living here is people repeatedly coming in, taking in the surroundings, and saying "It feels like home here." I like that I can offer that along with a convenient location.
