Comfortable, beautiful home with natural light, great trees. Easy access to downtown, east side, airport, Mueller Trails, Austin's great food, University of Texas, Dell Children's. Great night's rest on organic mattress in quiet neighborhood.
The space is inviting and inspired. People comment immediately how comfortable they feel here, and how well they sleep. Great neighbors who all know one another but maintain privacy. It's convenient to Austin's most popular destinations, while predictably quiet at night.
Wi-fi, private bath, iPhone/iPad docking stereo in room, shared living room, dining room and kitchen. Near bus stops to UT and downtown; local bike rentals are 1.5 miles away. Though Austin is better by car for most people.
Two very autonomous, mellow, indoor/outdoor cats live here. They are calm and nonchalant to visitors, and won't expect interaction. For some reason even people highly allergic never react to them.
Big trees, quiet at night, tightly-knit neighbors who care for one another while respecting privacy. The neighborhood sounds are one of my favorite things. Song birds, rustling older trees, kids walking to each other's houses yelling up and down. No incessantly barking dogs or inconsiderate neighbors. People wave and smile.
Readily accessible to any part of Austin. Two blocks from downtown bus, bike lines. Though people find Austin best with a car.
Wi-fi, dedicated bath very close in hall, clean linens and towels, iron, hair dryer, charging strip, shared living room, dining room and kitchen. Except for extended stays, closet space is limited.
Interaction with Guests
Please note my account does not accept requests if your profile is not complete.
Usually you're welcomed in person and given information to make the most of your stay. The house is shared, though generous amounts of common space and your private bedroom/bath allow you to select if you interact.
Natural light, great trees. Five miles from downtown. Not in the thick of things or walking distance to festivals. But you are rewarded with quiet and easy access via car downtown, east side, airport, Mueller Trails, Austin's great food, University of Texas, Dell Children's.
Readily accessible to any part of Austin, though people find Austin best by car. If you travel well and investigate you will find the location a snap. If you want to walk everywhere I would try listings right downtown for a better experience.

I had a great time with Theresa! I stayed at her place for almost two weeks and I had a wonderful time. Theresa was very helpful with a lot of things and at the same time gave me a lot of privacy.
I loved my room because the windows allowed lots of natural light. The walk to the bus station is ok, gave me the necessary doses of fresh air before heading to UT.
The neighborhood is nice, quiet and you'll find some great artsy stuff in the front gardens :)
Be it for long or short time trips, I can only warmly recommend Theresa and her beautiful place and I'll miss being around there for sure :)
Theresa was an incredible host. Friendly, helpful, and a great fan of Austin which only increased my enjoyment of the city. My room was perfect - quiet, clean, comfortable bed - and the house in general was nice and private. Thanks Theresa!
Theresa is one of the nicest people I have met while travelling. My daughter loved her garden. Theresa shared organic oranges with us which were delicious. She was very accommodating towards our late arrival too. The listing is accurate and the bed is very comfortable. Wish we could have stayed longer.
Theresa is gracious and attentive in her delightful and comfortable home, just what I anticipated!
I stayed at Theresa's during a short trip to Austin. It was a great experience. Sometimes doing airbnb vs hostels has the downside that it's harder to meet new people and get recommendations. Theresa provided both! Plus awesome conversation! The house is full of thoughtful tiny details that makes it seem like everything has a story behind. Thanks for everything!!
AH! I was traveling and didn't get to my review in time. Let me say here Agus was the ideal guest for me. She's a well-seasoned traveler. Curious, investigates inspired parts of the destination and totally open minded about finding new things. Before and after her adventures we had a fantastic time of it. Flawless guest. Took perfect care of everything, and effortless to connect with. Happy to have her. You will be too.
Theresa was an amazing host. She is thoughtful and accommodating. The location is located close to cool cafes, restaurants, and neat shops.
Her house is clean and nicely decorated. I felt like I was transported to a countryside villa in France.
Theresa was absolutely wonderful during my stay. She was warm and welcoming in more ways than I could have imagined, and I can't express enough gratitude for her hospitality.

I make maps for a living and love people, food, art, swimming, my fantastic friends, our dinner parties, music, my work, travel and playing outside. I thrive on creating interior spaces that provoke interest but allow for recharging at day's end. As a veteran Austinite, I can direct you to authentic places and things to do.
One of my favorite experiences living here is people repeatedly coming in, taking in the surroundings, and saying "It feels like home here." I like that I can offer that along with a convenient location.
