Private room, comfortable double bed, lots of storage space, hall bathroom next door. GREAT location near tech companies & Stanford, in a quiet Mid-Town neighborhood. Walk along tree lined streets to coffee shops, stores, JCC & YMCA.

The Space

This condo was built in 2011 and has hardwood floors in the shared living spaces, carpeted bedroom and still has a very new feel to it. Sleep peacefully on high thread count cotton sheets and dry off with our fluffy cotton towels. Enjoy a Nespresso coffee in the morning or select from a variety of teas.

Guest Access

A private room with a full bed, a hall bathroom right next door to the room, use of the kitchen and street
parking. Guest WIFI provided, DSL Speed.

Interaction with Guests

I am happy to talk with you about local things to do that you might find interesting or leave you to relax after a long day working in Silicon Valley. Our preference is to rent to women.

The Neighborhood

Midtown Palo Alto is quiet, has tree lined streets and is safe to walk around. Nearby you can find Philz Coffee, Safeway, Piazza's Gourmet Market, dry cleaners, neighborhood restaurants, etc. Winter Lodge, a local treasure, has one of the only outdoor skating rinks on the West Coast and is a mile away.

Getting around

Drive 3 miles to downtown Palo Alto for a selection of 50+ restaurants or park and take Cal Train into San Francisco for the easiest way to visit the city. You can rent my bike if you are working at a famous Internet search engine and don't want to drive. It is just over a mile walk (one way) to the Midtown shopping district with shops, places to eat and coffee houses. Taxis are not easy to get in this town, if you are here for meetings you will need to rent a car. (Enterprise Rent a Car will pick you up, ZIP Car, Lyft, etc.)

Other Things to Note

I have a dog. She is a rescue and is shy of new people. With time and treats she warms. She may bark but is very gentle.

Overall Guest Satisfaction

Check In
  • Christine and her daughter were delightful. The house was immaculate and the bed was very comfy. The location was perfect for me with work in Palo Alto, but also easily accessible to 101 for other locations along the peninsula. My only cautionary tale is easily addressable for subsequent visitors - if you are like me and like to sleep with the window open, just bring some ear plugs or download white noise on your phone. There is highway noise.. but certainly something that can be managed!

I'd stay there again in a minute!

  • Christine is the most delightful host and a lovely lady. We had a wonderful time meeting her and her lovely daughter and felt very much at home. Her property is a new condo in a great location - and as clean as a whistle. The bed was also super comfy!

I hope to be able to stay with Christine again when I'm in the area and recommend Christine and her property highly.

Working professional in the health care industry. Have lived in Palo Alto since 2003, and in the San Francisco Bay Area my entire life. Growing up in an airline family, I have had the opportunity to travel widely. I am happy to help you find resources during your stay in Palo Alto. I have two teens but am only renting the spare room when they are not here. I enjoy eating out or cooking healthy meals at home, working out at the gym, and a wide circle of friends. Friends recommended Airbnd as a good way to meet interesting people visiting the area. My mid-life crisis vehicle is a cute mint green Vespa. If there is anything I can to help make your stay in Palo Alto more enjoyable, don't hesitate to ask. I have a binder of local resources for you in your room.
