  • New Horizon Indian Restaurant

Almost right opposite the building youll find a good Indian restaurant, simple, small menu but full of Indian spices. It is so good that every day at lunch you get a line of people outside.
    Merced Stgo Santiago Metropolitan Region
  • Donde Guido

Delicious Peruvian Sandwiches, with lots of flavor and delicious, exotic ingredients and sauces. Right outside the building, on the right hand side.
    Merced Stgo Santiago Metropolitan Region
  • Gelateria Mo

    Superb ice cream.
    Monjitas Stgo Santiago Metropolitan Region
  • Kintaro

The best Japanese food in Santiago, next to nice bars, not only sushi, but ramen and other dishes. Great service.
    Monjitas Santiago Metropolitan Region
  • Starclick Cafe

Good coffee, but here, I go for their breakfast. Their crepes are delicious, and the fruit juices are good.
    Monjitas Stgo Santiago Metropolitan Region
  • Museum of Fine Arts/Contemporary Arts

Great museum to explore the art in Chile, past and present. On the back of the building there is the museum of contemporary art. In front, you have Parque Forestal, beautiful park perfect for jogging
José Miguel de La Barra Stgo Santiago Metropolitan Region
  • Colmado Coffee and Bakery

Simply, the best coffee in Santiago. There are many coffee shops in the neighborhood, but none like this. You can drink coffee prepared with different pressing methods and enjoy Spanish food.
    Merced Stgo Santiago Metropolitan Region
  • Norky's

Another Peruvian restaurant, cheaper, but still good. Its actually a very successful chain in Peru. In Lima, these are everywhere. The chicken is great, ceviche is good.
San Antonio Stgo Santiago Metropolitan Region
  • Squadritto

Great Italian food, not so great portions, but hey, its worth your while. I love this restaurant, one of the best Italian restaurant in the area.
    Santiago
  • El Ají Seco

One of the best Peruvian restaurants in downtown. You might want to check others, as this street is basically Little Lima, full of Peruvian goodness,
Calle San Antonio Santiago Santiago Metropolitan Region
  • Buffalo Waffles

Nice, yummy waffles of different flavors. I really recommend it, instead of the bland crepes in Patio Bellavista,
    Merced Stgo Santiago Metropolitan Region
  • Sur Patagónico Restaurant

If you are in the mood for some meat, this is the place. Typical Chilean food from the south of the country. Deer, Boar, and more traditional meats, will be a delicious experience here.
José Victorino Lastarria Stgo Santiago Metropolitan Region
  • Emporio La Rosa

Signature ice cream shop of Santiago with some very particular flavors. Not my favorite, but its a must
    Merced Santiago Metropolitan Region
  • Plaza de Armas

The Walking TOur of Santiago departs from here, visit the Cathedral, see the old main square, maybe even play chess with the locals!
    Santiago Metropolitan Region
  • Centro Cultural Gabriela Mistral

Beautiful building, very unusual, with permanent expositions and stores. BONUS POINTS: If you like science fiction, Dont you think it looks like the ruins of Trantor in the Foundation series?
Avenida Libertador Bernardo O Higgins Santiago Metropolitan Region
  • Mercado Central

Right opposite La Vega, on this side of the Mapocho river. Buy some souvenirs, but I dont recommend eating here, its a tourist trap, IMHO. Visit and see all the fish, tho.
    San Pablo Región Metropolitana
  • Museo de Arte Precolombino

A museum that will show you a bit of the pre history of Chile and how the original inhabitants used to live.
    Bandera Stgo Santiago Metropolitan Region
  • Había Una Vez

Maybe the best cakes in Santiago. Peaceful place in a hectic neighborhood. French bakery with Korean owners, sounds crazy, but the desserts are just delicious, with a lot of variety, THE place to go
Antonia López de Bello Stgo Santiago Metropolitan Region
  • Sukine, Korean Restaurant

Delicious Korean food in Santiago, in the exotic Patronato neighborhood, save room for dessert! If you feel like kimchi, this is the place to go.
Antonia López de Bello Stgo Santiago Metropolitan Region
  • Palacio de La Moneda

Office of the President of Chile. A well kept secret is that you can actually get inside with guided tours, but its not easy. If you are lucky, you might get to see the president herself
Plaza de la Ciudadanía 26 SG
  • La Vega (Produce Market)

THE market in Santiago, where you can get your produce at a good price (Much cheaper than the supermarket downstairs!), eat delicious food or juices at an unbeatable price. The real Santiago deal!
Antonia López de Bello Santiago Metropolitan Region
  • Museo de la Memoria y los Derechos Humanos

Painful, but necessary visit to understand the modern Chile and why some wounds wont heal that fast.
    Avenida Matucana Santiago Metropolitan Region
