This review is sad and not at all an accurate representation. This was a catastrophic unfortunate event for the Los Cabos people and area because of tropical storm Lydia. All of downtown Cabo was flooded and layered in mud, all restaurants and streets closed, boarded up, and no power. The people of Cabo San Lucas worked very hard to accommodate the tourists under a very distressed situation. The guests said they knew there was a hurricane storm arriving and chose to travel anyway, where other travelers cancelled because of the warnings with the airlines and media.
The guests arrived just a couple days after the hurricane and power and water was completely out in all of the Pedregal community and downtown. As the booking agent and not in Cabo, I tried everything I could to help the guests find available properties with power, but there was none that I found.
They demanded me to relocate them and were yelling at me and very disrespectful. The guest said how horrible everything was, because of this natural disaster and I was only trying to lift up his spirits by saying the weather was nice that day and at least they weren't in the middle of the storm.
The guest said we had no sense of empathy when the whole town of Cabo was devastated and locals loosing their homes and businesses! We do care and did try.
It wasn't about the money, it was about not having another location to relocate them to. The owner was more than willing to give a refund, which they received.
Again this was not normal conditions for Cabo San Lucas! This was an unfortunate emergency-type situation and the property manager worked hard to solve the situation. Cabo San Lucas is a wonderful beautiful town, and I am happy to hear how quickly it has recovered. I have to commend the locals and property managers in Cabo on how hard they worked to quickly clean up and reopen stores and restaurants.
Also, Villa Ladrillo is an amazing beautiful home, as the other reviewer said, "stunning and priceless!"
Do not let this reviewer scare you off - if you know Cabo and the people, it is truly a priceless, amazing place to travel to.
