Everything was provided for us when we got there, and the transition worked seamlessly even though we (5 of us) got in at different times. The neighborhood is upscale; the neighbors might get a little cranky and could potentially blame you for things, for instance we got blamed for throwing bottlecaps onto their townhouses. They might know that Rick rents the place out and assume things they shouldn't be assuming. Everything in the townhouse was clean, and there's lots of good food and even a WalMart within walking distance. Well-stocked kitchen with pots, pans, dishware, etc. The roof is a nice place to sit and to grill meat (there's an awesome meat market about 10 minutes drive away). If only it weren't so bloody hot and humid in Dallas in June.
Rick's home was great, as always. The accommodations are great, the neighborhood is one of my favorites in the city, and with its proximity to McKinney Ave, the location can't be beat.
Rick is a great host. Location of property is amazing, in Uptown and Uber is a great way to get around for a reasonable price. Town is as described in the listing. The air mattress did not stay inflated, and the lower level AC appeared to have some problems. In all everything else was great. Rick even refunded me a portion of the money back for the inconvenience. I would absolutely stay in this property again.
Rick's apartment is in a prime area of Dallas and great for a group of 4-6 adults (a little tight with 6 as there is only 2 king/queens bed and a twin. He had available a blow up mattress that unfortunately had a hole in it and was inoperable). The apartment is nice, with the roof deck as the key. Overall, nice place and Rick is helpful. Not as clean nor tidy as I'd have hoped based on the price (and the blow up mattress didn't work so someone had to sleep on the sofa). Overall, a good choice due to location and space.
We had a great time at Rick's home. Plenty of space, maybe too much. 4 grown, single adults all had a bed and the bathroom situation wasn't a problem. Centrally located and easy to get around. Great restaurants nearby. Rick was a great host with easy and prompt communication. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again!
I left like I had to ask how to get into the house and when, which should have been more easily accessible information. The neighborhood and the house were exactly as described. Great area of town.
This Condo is exactly as described in the pictures and text. An absolutely clear 5 star rating without reservations! I travel 40 weeks of the year since decades and this is one of the nicest places I've stayed in, kind of like a top notch hotel but with much more space. Rick had plenty of towels, a great TV with a superb sound system, a super comfortable big couch & sofa in the living room. One of the bed rooms is downstairs with the master bed room being on the 3rd floor, this makes it a perfect Condo when traveling for business with colleagues as you don't want too much "togetherness". It is also an ideal place to rent when traveling with extended family like parents-in law or couples going on a joint trip as the separate bed rooms allows for plenty of privacy. It was too cold to use the terrace but I am sure this is a super party or hangout place on warm night. We also appreciated how close restaurants were. For experienced travelers it is great to avoid the typical suburb/airport hotel scene where all the restaurants are chain stores, instead of we at two nights at highly rated (Yelp) restaurants that were literally within walking distance. Great place, we will rent it again next time we have a convention or trade show in Dallas!
