I loved my stay at this apartment. I phoned on arrival and was met within 15 minutes. The apartment is up two flights of stairs. It is one large open space with both beds in the same room. It didn't matter as it was just me staying. I loved the lighting and eclectic art, 3 balconies and sense of living in Barcelona. The location is totally perfect too, on a small side street less than 200 metres from the lovely bars and restaurants of Born. Really happy with this stay.
We felt very, very welcome.
The place was great.

The service was great and the host was very flexible in terms of check-in/check-out as well as responsive when the internet access was not working immediately. All worked out well. The apartment itself is OK for young people , I guess. We had expected it to be in a bit better shape (bath/kitchen) but that was not visible in the pictures. Overall OK but the price derives from the hip El Born location in BCN, not from the apartment condition.
El Born is really the heart of Barcelona, and this flat is at the heart of the heart on Carrer de Princesa. There are countless boutiques, bars, and restaurants in the immediate area, and the city park, Picasso museum, and beach are all a quick walk away. The flat itself is brilliantly eclectic and perfectly suited for a couple (there were three of us at one point and it felt a bit crowded). It can get a touch noisy at night, but this comes with the neighborhood, and it's nothing cheap ear plugs won't solve. Wifi was good, there is a communal washer/dryer, and main bed was comfy. As a side note, on the night of my arrival, I had a hard time finding the flat (drinks with friends didn't help) and Lucas was kind enough to cycle over to help me out. Life saver.
This apartment really embodies all the things I love about Barcelona; the fun, frenetic artwork scattered about the open-plan areas, the abundance of light from the three balconies, the rustic exposed brickwork and plaster mixed with nice pieces of furniture - it was a laid back, bohemian but beautiful space.
Situated above the owner's gallery, the whole experience is ensconced with the feeling of creativity. The hosts were polite and helpful and had prepared a welcome pack that included a hand-made guide of the city, decorated with funny pictures and jokes.
Most of all, the apartment was extremely spacious and clean. I look forward to going back.
The listing was very accurate to what was described. The loft was very well decorated, spacious, and comfortable. The host left us a bunch of recommendations for restaurants in the neighborhood. The neighborhood was perfect. There were a ton of places to eat and shop within walking distance. It felt very safe.
Lucas was very friendly. The apartment was was artsy and fun. The AC was a bit creaky and the sound proofing wasn't exactly great, but that was not huge deal for us.
The area felt very safe and was full of nice places to eat and drink.
