Super clean. You'll love staying in one of our cities' most interesting neighborhoods, Centrally located, we're 1.8 miles from the plaza and not far from Meow Wolf & main museums.

Great local cafes, a trendy tea house, glass blowing classes, artist studios, messages, and a top used clothing store are all just a short walk away.

Your elegant room, full of eclectic art, has a comfy king size bed, full kitchen, fridge, couch, table & private deck-- perfect for catching sunset views.

The space
Our spacious studio apartment is light filled, pristine clean, quiet and comfortable with east window views of our beautiful mountains, the Sangre de Christos.

The apartment was remodeled in August, 2017, with all new appliances, bathroom and fixtures. The styling is eclectic with modern lines and antiques, but with a little funk to make it interesting. All art work is completely original.

The floor is solid oak with room to stretch out. The king sized bed is hand carved with all cotton fragrance free linens. We also have blackout blinds just in case you want to sleep in.

You will access the loft by going up seventeen stairs to your own private deck where the entrance to the five hundred and fifty square foot apartment is located. The deck has table and chairs, with partial views of the Jemez mountains and the western sunset through the trees. There's ample free parking within fifty feet of the stairs.

You'll enjoy the kitchen. It has a nice assortment of complementary tea and coffees. We love to cook so the kitchen is well equipped with plenty of accessories. There's a range, microwave and mid-sized refrigerator. If you do need anything else for cooking we will be happy to loan equipment.

The bathroom has a 60” bathtub shower combo accented with handmade Talavera tiles. You’ll also find a washer/dryer with complementary detergent. Whether it’s hot or cold, you’ll stay comfortable with the new heating and AC split unit.

One more thing that might be of interest... our internet connection is fast! We have a 69.4 Mbps download and a 15.3 Mbps upload.

Guest access
The space was designed and laid out totally for our guests. In fact, you don't have to share Blue Sky Studio with anyone!

Other things to note
We don't have a TV. If you want to watch something, bring your laptop and you can stream it.

We are located 1.8 miles from the plaza, which is on google maps is a 10 minute drive. We're at the west end of the rail yard on Baca Street. So, we're not in the touristy historic district, but in a mixed neighborhood full of cool cafes and stores that are popular with locals. Our neighborhood is very safe!

Santa Fe is a high desert area and water is precious. Please conserve water as much as possible during your stay.

There are 17 steps up a flight of stairs to reach the apartment.

If you are coming with friends or family and need a second place nearby, we have two other airbnbs in the same building. You can google Arty Comfy airbnb Santa Fe and Santa Fe Classico airbnb to learn more about our other spaces.

Detergent is provided to the side of the washer. Please don’t use dryer sheets. We strive to be fragrance free.

Our plumbing pipes are old! Please, do not flush anything down the toilet except toilet paper.

There is no smoking in the apartment.

Santa Fe is at 7000 feet. Drinking lots of water helps with the altitude.

We have 300 days of sunshine a year in Santa Fe, but we do have snow in the winter and it can get quite cold even in the fall and spring. Check the weather before you come.

Location

Santa Fe, New Mexico, United States

This is a very safe neighborhood, a mix of residential and small local businesses.

Baca Street is at the end of the old Santa Fe rail yard, which is called the Baca Rail Yard/Arts District . You'll be staying an eclectic neighborhood-- where Santa Fe artists live, work and play.

Please note that we are not in the historic district, but in an area that's popular with locals. We're about 10 minutes drive from most of our city's main attractions, from the Plaza downtown, to Meow Wolf, to museums.

From our place, you can walk two minutes down the street and take a glass blowing class, have a massage, browse some of Santa Fe’s avant garde galleries or get in trouble at Artifacts, one of our best consignment stores.

When you get hungry, have a green chili smothered burrito at Counter Culture Cafe, which is always packed with locals. Or visit the newly opened Opuntia tea house a short walk away.

The studio is located above over company, Reflective Jewelry. Stop by for a studio tour and see how we make our jewelry by hand. We also offer a $25 gift certificate to for jewelry for all our guests.

Marc, my husband, and I have always loved to travel. We have lived and traveled in many countries in central and south America, Europe, Asia, Africa, and the Caribbean. Being a host for Airbnb brings travel to us in a new way! Santa Fe has been our home since 1986 and we love our city for it's amazing arts and cultural activities. We also enjoy hiking, gardening, cooking and just being at home with our cat, Aslan, our dog, Tasha. Our house is only 5 minutes away from our airbnbs. These are located in the same building as our company, Reflective Jewelry. I am jewelry designer and we specialize in custom work using ethical sources. Marc works on our ethical jewelry platform and our web development. We're the only certified Fairtrade Gold jewelry company in USA. In 2019, we were awarded Santa Fe's Green Business of the Year by our City and Chamber of Commerce-- which is quite an honor given how jewelry is generally sourced. If you want to learn more about what we do and who we are, do web search for our company website, Reflective Jewelry.
