The space
Our spacious studio apartment is light filled, pristine clean, quiet and comfortable with east window views of our beautiful mountains, the Sangre de Christos.

The apartment was remodeled with all new appliances, bathroom and fixtures. The styling is eclectic with modern lines and antiques, but with a little funk to make it interesting. All art work is completely original.

The floor is solid oak with room to stretch out. The king sized bed is hand carved with all cotton fragrance free linens. We also have blackout blinds just in case you want to sleep in.

You will access the loft by going up seventeen stairs to your own private deck where the entrance to the five hundred and fifty square foot apartment is located. The deck has table and chairs, with partial views of the Jemez mountains and the western sunset through the trees. There's ample free parking within fifty feet of the stairs.

You'll enjoy the kitchen. It has a nice assortment of complementary tea and coffees. We love to cook so the kitchen is well equipped with plenty of accessories. There's a range, microwave and mid-sized refrigerator. If you do need anything else for cooking we will be happy to loan equipment.

The bathroom has a 60” bathtub shower combo accented with handmade Talavera tiles. You’ll also find a washer/dryer with complementary detergent. Whether it’s hot or cold, you’ll stay comfortable with the new heating and AC split unit.

Neighborhood highlights

This is a very safe neighborhood, a mix of residential and small local businesses.

Baca Street is at the end of the old Santa Fe rail yard, which is called the Baca Rail Yard/Arts District . You'll be staying an eclectic neighborhood-- where Santa Fe artists live, work and play.

Please note that we are not in the historic district, but in an area that's popular with locals. We're about 10 minutes drive from most of our city's main attractions, from the Plaza downtown, to Meow Wolf, to museums.

From our place, you can walk two minutes down the street and take a glass blowing class, have a massage, browse some of Santa Fe’s avant garde galleries or get in trouble at Artifacts, one of our best consignment stores.

When you get hungry, have a green chili smothered burrito at Counter Culture Cafe, which is always packed with locals. Or visit Cafecito a short walk away.

The studio is located above our company, Reflective Jewelry. Stop by for a studio tour and see how we make our jewelry by hand. We also offer a $20 gift certificate to for jewelry for all our guests.

Marc, my husband, and I have always loved to travel. We have lived and traveled in many countries in central and south America, Europe, Asia, Africa, and the Caribbean. Being a host for Airbnb allows us to meet people from all over the world. Santa Fe has been our home since 1986 and we love our city for it's amazing natural beauty, the people that live here, for the arts and cultural activities. We also enjoy hiking, gardening, cooking and just being at home with our cat, Aslan.
