Ann is an exceptional hostess. This is my second stay in her home and just like my first experience, it feels like home! She is kind and attentive to your needs. This is the only place I plan to stay whenever I visit Georgia!
We (my teen-age daughter + I) had a lovely stay at Marietta. Ann was out of town, but Reed made us feel very welcome. We had a great stay and would gladly return.
They have a beautiful, exquisite house on a grand lot of land on the outskirts of Atlanta - quiet and very comfortable. We stayed 2 days - slept soundly in huge comfy beds and greatly enjoyed their pool. Personally, the freshly brewed coffee Reed had waiting for me in the morning was a real winner!
This was our first time using airbnb and first time staying at a complete strangers home, not knowing what to expect. My three kids and I were a little nervous about this experience but as soon as we met Ann and Reid, all concerns disappeared. They were very welcoming and gracious hosts. They made us feel at home immediately. We were given a tour of their beautiful home and allowed to use all the kitchen appliances, dishes, washer & dryer etc. The home was immaculate. Anne showed us how to operate the entertainment system and we were able to watch cable TV and Netflix movies. The kids had an awesome time in the pool when we had downtime from our baseball games each day. There was a small TV in our room as well. The house was a bit warm for us at first. They like to conserve energy. However, Anne and Reid were very accommodating by dropping the temperature down to 72 degrees for us. We had use of our own refrigerator. This was a big plus for us because we didn't have to eat out each night. The purpose of our visit to Marietta was for my son's baseball tournament which lasted 7 days. Our schedule was sporadic, sometimes having games starting at 9:45pm or needing to wake up at 5:00am to make it to early games an hour away. Again, Ann and Reid were flexible and accommodating. We enjoyed our stay and their company immensely. Reid surprised my kids with some gifts the night before our checkout day. They are just a wonderful, caring couple and I know you will enjoy your time with them if you decide to stay at their home. The neighborhood was so peaceful and quiet while we relaxed outside in the pool area and the screened-in deck area. Also, if you need tickets for any events happening during your stay in Atlanta, ask them in advance and they might be able to hook you up. We will definitely stay with them again during our next visit to Marietta, GA.
This was my first time using Airbnb and I must say that it was an awesome experience! Ann and Reed are kind and excellent hosts who where attentive to our needs. Their property is spacious, clean, and quiet...it truly felt like home! It's important to me to feel comfortable in my surroundings and I definitely felt at ease in their home.

About the Host, Ann
I am a business owner and absolutely love to travel. I enjoy traveling internationally and exploring new places. The outskirts of Cancun, Mexico is one of my very favorite vacation spots. The water is beautiful and it's a great relaxing, low-key area. My favorite experiences are when I am renting a private owners home, condo or staying at B & B's. I enjoy feeling like I am at home with lots of space and all the amenities I am accustom to having at home: a kitchen, large bedroom, family space, outdoor space, etc. That's just not something you get with a traditional hotel chain. Oh, and my very favorite is traveling during low-season. The crowds are few and you can really just soak in the ambience without waiting in long lines and being shuffled thru like a heard of cattle.
I do work while I travel. My must-haves are: my airbook (love-it), wireless internet, and my contigo travel mug full of coffee - Yum. And, yes, I'm the fruity one sitting out by the pool or on the beach, sporting the laptop and cell phone while I get a few minutes of r&r and catch up on some work.
