Other Things to Note
And note that we can work around yoga schedules if you really feel the need to be in Ouray and in a great room/space. Stay in the room and take a class either in Ouray or at our sister studio in Ridgway for a discounted price of $12 a drop in fee (normally $14).
Due to the healing nature of the space, I ask that you do not smoke, bring your pets, or cook inside the building. There is an electric water kettle for tea/coffee, oatmeal, ramen, etc. Please respect the space. There is a covered space out the back door that you can cook or leave a cooler, or any extra gear if you'd like.
Nice spot. Everything was upfront and accurate. Personally, I liked the space and the vibe.
I wouldn't think of staying anywhere else in Ouray. We got into town late due to a lost bag, but Helen is a very relaxed and helpful, so it was no problem getting inside or having the bag delivered while we were out the next day. The room is clean and comfortable, and a great base for whatever you want to spend your time in Ouray doing.
This is a great little place, simple and convenient. We never saw Helen but she was helpful and responsive. The location is great, it's a half a block from downtown and across the street from the local police station so it feels safe. It's a little pricey for what it is but we'd stay there again.
Helen was great. Showed me the place on arrival and I only ran into her once during my one week stay for ice climbing. Great location in the middle of sleepy Ouray.
The room was as-advertised. However, we personally didn't feel the room was worth the listed rate because there is no shower, the bed was uncomfortable and it was inconvenient having to plan not to arrive/leave the room while there is a yoga class going on.
Simple and basic, very lovely. Helen was very nice and accommodating. My friend and I stayed 5 nights during the Ouray Ice Fest and this was a great basic place for us to crash. Having no shower wasn't an issue since the hot springs are so close. Access to washer/dryer in the bathroom was a plus and we were thankful to have a water kettle for easy morning oatmeal and tea before our adventures. VERY basic setup, so if you like to take frequent showers, need closet space for clothes or only sleep on fancy beds...this probably isn't the right fit for you. Will definitely stay with Helen again if we come back to the festival next year.
Tracy was an awesome host, and her place is super clean, comfortable, and convenient! The room was quiet and private, and you can walk to several different hot springs and every restaurant in town. It was really great to be able to stretch in the sacred space after a long drive. I would definitely want to stay here again next time I'm in Ouray!
I'm the owner and teach at the yoga studio and live up stairs with my two wonderful small children. I love the outdoors as well as my yoga and my sacred space.
