Nicknamed our "Home-tel Suites," this private getaway is all you could want and more! Perfect for small families, couples, and solo travelers alike. Minutes to NAU, Sedona, Snowbowl, and downtown. Minutes to Flagstaff Snow Park, the North Pole Experience, and 30 mins to the Polar Express. Some great local sledding in our neighborhood! A great home base to the Grand Canyon as well. A separate entrance leads you into your own private kitchen, living room, bathroom, and two bedrooms. Perfect!
The space
Our space is the perfect getaway! This spacious walkout basement apartment bodes your own private eat in kitchen/dinging room with seating for 4, stocked with all the amenities you could need for cooking in. The first bedroom has a cozy king bed, with ample closet space.
Down the hall you'll find a second plush king sized bed, with plenty of room for a pack-n-play (available in master bedroom closet). A jack and jill bathroom with a stand up shower connects the hallway space to the bedroom. There is also a private, full size washer and dryer in the unit, available for your use! We even provide the soap. Our backyard is full of mature grown oak and pine trees and provides that close to nature feeling.
Extra linens and pillows are provided in the walk in closet, located in the first bedroom.
Enjoy breakfast overlooking the yard and listening to the birds. There is also outdoor seating for you to enjoy on the lower level of the yard, communal to all guests. We recently installed a window air-conditioning unit, to help ease any summer heat discomfort in both the living room and furthest back bedroom . This suite booked? Check out our other listing!

Our backyard is open to our guests, but please know our own children to use the space as well.
This guest suite is a part of our home (although completely private) so there is a chance you will see us or our kids outside while here during your stay.
There are a set of stairs required to go down to get to the space.
Guest access
You will enter your private space through your own separate entrance, down a few stairs. Follow the path under the upper deck to find your getaway. The first set of sliding glass doors is home! You will notice the number 1 on the mailbox right next to the french doors, for suite 1. There is a lock-box with key, so you are able to check-in at your convenience any time of the day, past 3pm.
The driveway can accommodate 1 guest car- all other vehicles will have to park on-street. Please note- winter restrictions do not allow on street parking from midnight to 7am from October 31-April 30. Please plan accordingly.
Other things to note
***The apartment is on the lower level of our home. We have installed noise dampening panels to help with the transfer of sound, and while it absolutely helps, it doesn't block footsteps entirely. We are very aware of our guests, and do our best to keep noise down, but there is a chance you hear life happening, once in a while. :)
***This suite is one of two units, both with their own private entrances, outdoor spaces, and inside amenities. They units are located on the same level, but both are self contained private spaces apart from one another. Our kids use the backyard, and you are welcome to as well!

We live in a well established family neighborhood. It’s not unusual to see all types of people taking leisurely strolls along the well kept sidewalks, while walking their dogs, and enjoying the fresh mountain air. There is a small park in our neighborhood just down the street from our home, along with a larger park at a local elementary school, also around the corner from our house. Our neighborhood of University Heights is located minutes from Northern Arizona University, along with all the major restaurants, grocery stores, and about a 10 minute drive to the down town area, and a 25 minute drive North to Snowbowl Ski Resort.
