The Little House was built in 1945. It is a one bedroom cabin with full kitchen, 3/4 bath, and a wood burning stove. Located steps away from Pappy & Harriet's on Historic Mane Street, this restored vintage cabin is available for nightly and weekly rentals. It is important to note that Pappy & Harriet's is a music venue with live music every night we are open. Please check our calendar online prior to booking so you know what to expect during your stay.

The space
Rumor has it that Gene Autry loved to stay here while filming westerns in Pioneertown through the mid 1950's. This 1945 cozy cabin has a private bedroom with a queen size bed, 2 sofas, full kitchen, bathroom with shower, turntable with lots of vinyl, Fujitsu air and heat, seasonal wood burning stove and front porch. Cabin has Free WiFi, but keep in mind, phone service can be spotty in the desert.

Guest access
The Little House is situated on a 1.2 acre parcel. The house is totally private. You will see "No Parking" signs outside the house but that is not meant for you! You can park in front or on the side of the house.

Other things to note
We allow pets with prior permission. We charge a one time cleaning fee of $40 for pets. If we are not informed in advance, we reserve the right to charge accordingly for cleaning up after pets. No Camping on the property. There are many residents in Pioneertown. Parties will not be tolerated nor any type of fireworks, bonfires, anything fire related. Please respect the desert with it's beauty and danger.

Instructions for the wood stove:
If you are interested in making a fire in the wood stove, here are some pointers to not smoke yourself out:

1. Open doors and make sure stove is clear of ash and debris.
2. Start with a fire starter or small kindling. Make sure all wood is dry.
3. Keep stove doors open while getting fire started.
4. Do not move levers on front or side (front ones should be on “O” for “open” and the one on the right backside should be facing forward)
5. Once smaller wood is going, you can add larger logs.
6. Keep doors open while larger logs are catching fire.
7. Only close doors and latch when you have a good fire going.
8. Put all ash in TIN CAN ONLY. Do not discard any ash in garbage cans. You are welcome to leave ash in the tin can and we will discard it for you.
9. Let fire burn out. Do not extinguish with water or sand.
10. Do not go to sleep with a fire burning, ever.
11. Enjoy!
