Miguel was very helpful under a very stressful situation. Concussion with the booking ended up placing my party in an apartment upstairs which was very durty. He made an adjustment on our bill that was very generous. But the apartment was very noisy and that was one of the things we discussed during the negotiations. So, experience with the apartments not good, experience with Miguel excellent.
Tomas is very friendly and helpfull. when we arrived the room was not cleaned. The next day the house was cleaned. The beds were terrible. The sheets were of nylon and not from cotton.the only good thing was the working of thei internet. 2 persons of our group decided to leave one house after one night. the hous is a nice house but not mantaied..The door of the roomcannot be locked.
we will never book this house again.
I stayed at Onehouse for two weeks in July. It is a beautiful house in the heart of San Telmo. The location is fantastic. The house has friendly people staying in it, a mixture of longer-term residents, and people passing through for a few days. Tomas is lovely guy and very gracious and welcoming. Thank you for providing a welcoming home for my first few weeks in the city.
Though I stayed very briefly at Onehouse (overnight), Tomas was very friendly and hospitable. Got me a cab service pickup to and from the airport which was very helpful.
Great place in a great area. The host is really nice and the house is always full with interesting people!
Tomas runs a great place to stay. From the outside it looks like a big building, but once you go through to the courtyard you see a great house. Very chill space in the middle of busy san telmo, and it was a great place for us to stay and get situated in the city. Close the subway and central to places we wanted to visit. It seems that many of the people staying at onehouse were staying for longer periods of time than us, so it was great to be able to meet them and learn about BsAs from their perspective. Tomas was a great host and went out of his way to make us comfortable. We had a very hot room on the ground floor, so he gave us his personal fan. I would definitely recommend the stay.
Tomas was great and really friendly! Very helpful with us setting up our trip and logistics.
Tomas is a thoughtful, considerate and attentive host. He runs a tight ship, keeping the public area kitchen and bathes spotlessly clean and maintaining a peaceful oasis from the hubbub of the streets. I was there briefly, but he made taxi calls on my behalf, advised me on restaurants and sightseeing ops, and was friendly and helpful at every turn.
We had a great time at the house during our one month stay. The location is excellent, near great restaurants, bars, public transportation, etc. We would definitely recommend.
Onehouse is a great solid antique building in a wonderful San Telmo location close to everything we needed. Its virtually next door to El Refuerzo, around the block from The Gibraltar, 3 blocks from the Subway station, Defensa markets, and so many other attractions and facilities.
It is like staying in a house rather than a hostel and we got to know the other people we were staying with really well. Our bedroom was quite big with lots of storage.
I recommend it if you want to experience a homelier experience in Buenos Aires rather than a hostel. It isn't a hostel, nor a hotel so don't go if you expect daily room service, or parties every night. That said Tomas is accomodating should something be required. And there are tango classes from a few times a week in the front house if you want to learn.
We were lucky enough to be there for an Asado. Tomas can cook an awesome Asado! Some of the tastiest and tenderest meat we have ever eaten ever.
