Private beach, the most beautiful pool in Troncones that's perfect for children and adults (zero entry design makes one end perfect for babies and small children to play in… or adults to lounge in), jacuzzi, high-speed internet, two kitchens, and outdoor wood-burning oven/grill ('estufa lorena') and PRIVACY. Casa Viva is one of the most, if not the most, private houses in Troncones, as we also own the two lots on either side, and purposely left them undeveloped as an extra buffer between us and the two houses next door.
Interaction with Guests
Our property manager Benito, and our amazing cook, Elvira, and equally amazing and charming housekeeper Libo are on-site but unobtrusive.
The location given for us on airbnb map is incorrect, this is the closest they could get on their system to our beach front location. Troncones is a great little surfing village, not far from Saladitas, and 30-45 minutes from the larger communities of Ixtapa and Zihuatanejo.
You may walk or bike (you may rent bikes in town) around Troncones. There are taxis in Troncones, but if you want to go further afield (Ixtapa, Zihua, Saladitas etc.) it's best to rent a car or bring your own.
We ask for a 20% non-refundable deposit that can be used as a credit towards future stay within a year (or more) if you need to change or cancel your stay for any reason.
Pets allowed as long as their owners are well-behaved and clean up after them.
We simply loved Casa Viva. The stretch of beach on Troncones where the house sits is one of the most beautiful stretches of beaches I have come to know. I couldn't stop walking up and down the beach and my fiance and I loved playing in the water - although the current is strong! The sound of the surf is spectacular, and we loved listening to night bugs and beasts and the waves while leaning back on the property's jacuzzi and watching the stars! Great details - like a swing as a bench in the dining room, one over the pool, and another on our porch. Thank you
This was one of the most unique and gorgeous properties I have EVER stayed at - worldwide. It was relaxing, with the open air set up and pool and jacuzzi right at the Ocean. The sound of the waves and the pool waterfall was the backdrop to a serene and beautiful property. Everything was very clean and the food was wonderful. We loved it here and would go back in a heartbeat!!
LOVED our stay! Arrived intending to stay 2 nights and stayed an extra day! What a gorgeous space. We seriously did not want to leave and our 7 hour drive back to Mexico City was not the chirpiest!
The casitas are beautifully designed to blend in with the surroundings and are large and airy and we just loved how everything was open to nature. The communal areas are just perfect for whiling away the hours, reading, playing chess or just watching the waves/birds/turtles in the distance... Equally the beaches either side of Casa Viva are stunning-great for swimming (for confident adult swimmers) and surfing. We loved seeing the turtles laying eggs and baby turtles hatching further down the beach.
Benito and Elvira were such gracious hosts who went out of their way to make our stay a wonderful one. The breakfasts and dinners were simply delicious...not sure tomorrow's bowl of cereal will measure up!
They thankfully provided us with maglites, but bringing torches would be good advice for stormy nights!
Stayed at this resort on my bday and was so thrilled I added an extra night. The room was large and very comfortable. Absolutely loved the huge bed with mosquito netting. Herbal soap in large ensuites for a lovely touch. And very helpful staff. Hope to return on a family vacation.
