Adorable comfortable home! Very peaceful and quiet. Beautiful vegetable garden and orchard. The perfect place to relax and enjoy the amazing sights of Sedona. The area is quiet and a short drive to Sedona. Patricia met us at the house and was very gracious and helpful. We were greeted with a lovely fruit bowl and bottle of wine. Love the paintings around the house. Would love to buy one! I would recommend and definitely stay again when back in the Sedona area. Thank you!
Our hosts were always quick and efficient with communication. Greeted us, checked and and even said thank you and goodbye through texts and emails. We really like the 2 fresh apples left for us in a bowl in the kitchen. Very sweet.
The house was very humble and clean. We did our best to leave it exactly the way it looked when we arrived, treating it as if it were our own home. We were comfortable and enjoyed our stay! Thank you!
We loved the privacy of the place and appreciated having a washer-dryer on premises.
This is a nice quiet place with lots of room. It is also easily accessible to Sedona and Jerome (a nice little town, worth the visit). Our hosts left us a bottle of wine and locally grown apples (very good). The place was clean with a fully stocked kitchen. Coffee was provided, and we had this each morning. We also made a trip to the Grand Canyon from here, and while it took almost 2 hours, it was an easy drive.
We generally used the place to relax late at night and sleep, and it was perfect for us in that way.
It is a lovely home in a very quiet spot...I loved hearing the birds awaken early morning. I had forgotten just how many songs there could be. Love the remoteness and the seclusion it offered. It truly was a retreat, and I am glad I found it.
Patricia and Robert were very attentive to making sure we found our way and got settled. The housewarming gift and coffee for the morning were a terrific surprise, as we arrived late and tired. The place was the perfect location for us - we could take advantage of all the Sedona hiking, but got to come home each day to a quiet, spacious home in the lovely, more local town of Cottonwood. Bed was comfortable (and had a great view!), place was clean, and we had everything we could ever need. Private, but centrally located. Thank you!!!
Patricia and Robert were unable to greet us when we arrived at their Humble Retreat, but the home had been impeccably prepared for our four day stay. Everything was very clean, tidy, and nicely decorated. The kitchen was completely functional for full meal preparation. We did not have need of the futon in the second bedroom, but the queen bed in the main bedroom was very comfortable. The main bathroom contains a large, beautifully tiled shower and whirlpool tub. The location of the house is very convenient for exploring the surrounding area, including Sedona, Jerome, Oak Creek Canyon, and various State Parks. Patricia and Robert were very prompt in responding to telephone calls/texts/emails. We would not hesitate to stay again at Patricia and Robert's Humble Retreat the next time we travel to the Sedona area.
