About This Listing
It's time to enjoy the views and relax. You have found a special escape in Tucson. A very quiet space, the oversized casita has a hard-to-beat panoramic view and all of the clean comforts of home. Easily accessible, close to town, yet very private.
Lovely, private guest house with stunning views of two converging mountain ranges(Catalinas and Rincons). Located very close to Sabino Canyon and the Canyon Ranch. This private 4 room house is new and comfortably furnished. A great location for someone who wants to experience the best of the Tucson's nature and not far from great activities and restaurants. Access the Canyon Ranch trail to the creek for an easy hike. Don't be surprised if you see some wildlife prancing by your window as well. Go for a morning swim - the use of the pool is at your disposal (in season - sorry not heated). Includes Wifi and videos. Easy parking right out the front door. Limited kitchen with a microwave and 2 burner cooktop. Full refrigerator. Right out on the kitchen patio is a gas barbeque so you can grill to your heart's content.
Busy family in the main house across the yard will let you do your own thing in peace. In a gated community with spacious properties. Lots of serenity and privacy.
There is a pool with hot tub right out the door. Usage based on season. Parking is adjacent to your front door.
Interaction with Guests
I generally l won't travel when guests are in the casita and am here for any questions or concerns. I am happy to share my knowledge about the area but in general don't interact other than a wave in passing.
It's a very nice neighborhood of custom homes that are spaced 1 acre + apart.
It is not a place to come without a car
No smoking. No pets. Parking for 2 cars adjacent to the front door on the gravel, all other vehicles, including visitors please park on the street.
Since it is a gated community access to and from the property is controlled by an access card or by me buzzing you in at the gate via cell phone. There are only a maximum of 2 cards for the unit. Sometimes it makes it challenging for guests that have more than 2 cars to their party. Also it costs $50 each to replace the cards if lost.
Ms. Roesler was exceptional. She replied to all my texts within minutes, explained the house and check in process, and provided guidance on nearby gluten free restaurants in Tucson. Excellent host! Excellent home! Modern architecture, fantastic views from every room and even from the pool/hot tub.
My husband and I stayed at Tina's for 3 nights before continuing our on our trip to Santa Fe. Pictures and even words cannot describe the amazing view from the casita. If you love the mountains, you'll be wowed. The casita itself is gorgeous, private and quiet. The location is ideal; close to Sabino Canyon, Mount Lemmon as well as a quick drive to anything you may need. Tina is super sweet. She introduced herself and chatted for a while, then gave us our privacy; perfect!
Tina's guesthouse was just perfect for my needs, in a beautiful and unique location. I highly recommend it, and Tina is a great host. That said, please ignore all that and move along from this listing, because I want this place all to myself! But seriously, if you need a great place w a pool, very quiet, with a great view of the Tucson valley, this is a great spot for all of that. It was my first time on AirBnB and I couldn't have been happier with my first booking. Thanks Tina!
We had a beautiful visit to Tucson. Tina's guesthouse is gorgeous, perfectly situated on a ridge with views of the mountains. We loved the pool and being able to relax by it at the end of the day. We also enjoyed being close to Sabino Canyon.
I have stayed at numerous Air BnBs all over the country and the world and this was my best experience to date. The place was exactly as described and pictured. Tina was very easy to communicate with, answered questions quickly, and was flexible with my check-in and check-out schedule, which was very helpful! The view at the casita is absolutely stunning: complete panoramic views from the pool and hot tub. The casita itself felt like home-- it was beautifully decorated and had all of the essentials to cook and grill meals. It's also in a prime location for hiking in Sabino, Ventana, and Bear Canyons. I lived in Tucson for over a year and had never been to a better spot that mixes convenience and serenity. I highly recommend!
We arrived late, around 10:00 p.m., and Tina made sure ahead of time that we had the access code to her gated subdivision so we could get into the guest house. The house was perfect for our needs. The two bedrooms were comfortable and the views of the valley below were spectacular, especially in the mornings. Tina came over the first morning of our stay to see that everything was OK, and she was very responsive to questions throughout our stay (example: we had no hot water briefly, but she figured the pilot light went out on the hot water heater, and promptly came over to re-light it). The grill/barbecue worked great, we used it one evening. And the hot tub was terrific, we used it two of the nights that we were there.
One small suggestion for the comfort of future guests. The bathroom is small and quaint, but could probably use one more hook or towel bar to hang clothes while using the shower.
Overall, we were very pleased with the rental, and would gladly return in the future if we find ourselves in the Tucson area again.
This was our second stay at Tina's casita. This trip was as wonderful as our previous one. Tina is a great host, and this time we got to enjoy the hot tub--which was absolutely wonderful at night under the Tucson night sky and the great view from Tina's location.

About the Host, Tina
I am an outgoing and generous sort who likes to get to know new friends. The casita is a building that has been used as both a recreational area for my 2 teenagers and myself and our guests. Also it has housed my marketing consulting business. These days all of my accounts take me around town and so the nice casita can be your home base. I have worked with many local organizations and can be a knowledgeable go-to person about the area. I have lived on this property for 22 years and have been grateful every single day for the views and natural beauty of the desert.
