This charming flat of 38 m2 is located on a private street in the Gothic district of Barcelona (old city) just between the Ramblas and the Cathedral. It's layout is one open space divided in: cooking area, with a fully equipped kitchen, a living room area with a dinning table & chairs and a sofa bed. The bedroom area is separated with a curtain.
Special care has been taken when we renovated this apartment.
It has two large glass pane doors, one for each balcony, overlooking the quite private street. The floor has been conserved and the original terracotta tiles dating back to 1820, give it a rare and special look. We have also conserved an original 60's wallpaper, one you can hardly find nowadays.
Large mirrors with antique frames and original art complete the decoration of this lovely apartment.
The surrounding area:
The area around the apartment, mostly pedestrian, is in the heart of the Gothic district where the most famous stores of Barcelona are located, as well as many other shops, restaurants, pubs and cafes. The “Plaça Catalunya” and the famous “Ramblas” street are just at few meters from the apartment with the “Boqueria” market and the “Liceu” Theater, just a few minutes away. The Gothic cathedral of Barcelona is also very close.
There is a 30eur cleaning fee to be paid in cash upon arrival to the apartment.
This includes as well fresh bed linen and towels.
Check - In
Checking in usually is done after 13:30 since the apartment is being prepared for you earlier. However you may enter earlier if it is available. Also there is no problem checking in later in the afternoon or even during the night. Once you are shown the apartment and given the keys to it the rest of the renting fees must be paid in cash.
For all check ins after 22:00 there is an extra 20€ extra charge payable to the person in charge of your check in.

We had a lovely time staying at this flat for 9 days, the size was good, kitchen had all the basics but the highlight was the location, it's so fantastically central which means you can go out as late as you want (we were there over new years) and then not have to worry about getting back, and as it's set back a little from the busy shopping street it's quiet at night.
We loved the retro decor and especially the old boardgames on the walls, Anna and Josephine who showed us in gave us some great tips on places to eat, and things to see.
Other reviews have mentioned roadworks going on in the main street, it looks like these all finished by the time we got there so was nice and quiet.
Would highly recommend!

we liked the apartment very much, it's very central and in walking distance of the best parts of barcelona. it's not ideal if you're looking for a calm place though, there is also still a lot of building work going on in and around the house
No complaints at all about the key handover. The lady, whose name I have forgotten, was very helpful and very friendly when giving us an overview of the apartment and surrounding area.
You won't believe how central this apartment is. Set back into a private courtyard off what seems to me to be a main shopping area, it was peaceful and quiet.
You can be on la ramblas in about 60 seconds from here. It really is a good base to see central Barcelona.
We we're completely charmed by the whole experience and this apartment played no small part in that. Highly recommended.
We felt very welcome in this apartment. The photos make it seem a bit larger than it is, but it was the perfect size for 2 people. If we visited Barcelona, we would stay in this apartment again. The location could not have been more perfect! 2 minutes from Las Ramblas, and very easy to walk from there to other attractions in the centre. Great stay overall!
Agos's place in Barcelona was cozy, comfortable and in a great location. So it was very functional if you wanted to pack in a lot during your stay and enjoy a siesta! Great location especially if you have few days in Barcelona.
Overall we had a great stay at this apartment! It was decorated just as it looked which we really enjoyed! The location of this apartment is also very valuable - you are right in the middle of it all, but as this apartment is in an inner courtyard area you do not face the bustling street. Lucas left very clear instructions for arrival and departure which we followed with no issues. One big downside for our stay was very loud construction noise due to a significant construction project on the apartments surrounding this one across the courtyard. Thankfully we had earplugs but even these did not block the disturbance. In the future it would be nice to be notified of this, even though it's not in the apartment owner's control. Also, not a big deal, but there was no juicer as described.
