Fantastic stay, didn't meet Dennis but Hernan hosted us and he was an absolute legend - one of the nicest guys I've ever met, even packed us a lunch for Machu Picchu and made our stay very comfortable and memorable. The view from the house is excellent, it's a little bit of a climb up from the main square (cars can only go up so far) and lots of stairs but we did not mind was a good way to work off the great food around cusco. Would 100% recommend.
Beautiful view! Denis was very kind and accommodating. good restaurants around the area.
My second stay with Denis and it was a dream. He's engaging, helpful and provides comfort with attention to detail. Great views and wonderfully appointed rooms.
This was a really fantastic space, and Denis was a very warm and generous host. The view from the terrace is amazing, the room itself is huge, comfortable and stylish. Denis is very helpful and goes out of his way to make sure you are taken care of. Case In point, our flight was very early, too early for breakfast, so he had sandwiches made for us to take on the road. 10/10 would stay here again.
Denis was a very welcoming host and provided great advice on the local restaurants. He went above and beyond our expectations.
The room itself was beautiful with an amazing view of the entire city from the hill-side. The location was perfect. Hot water and good pressure in the shower. A private heater for the cooler nights.
Denis provided a delicious breakfast of our choice, brought directly to our room.
Highly recommended; easily the most amazing BnB in Cusco.
This apartment was a complete dream - if you are going to Cuzco, I HIGHLY recommend staying there. Denis and his safe were incredibly welcoming, offering us coca tea upon arrival and breakfast in the morning. This is truly a special place - stunning views, clean, cozy, and centrally located.
Andrea and I absolutely loved Denis and his apartment. Our experience with Denis was, by far, the best of all the places we have stayed.
We are airbnb hosts, as well, and have stayed at dozens of airbnb spaces throughout the past couple years. Denis is the paragon of an airbnb host and we took many notes just by observing him so that we could improve our own hosting experience.
For example, Denis took care of so many little details that made our entire trip more seamless. He had breakfast prepared for us every morning and even carried the trays to our bedroom. When we needed to buy train tickets for our trip to Machu Picchu, he helped us reserve tickets online and take us to the location to buy them in person. He even prepared a brown-bag lunch for us to bring along the next morning and let us borrow two of his rain ponchos because it's the wet season. On our welcome to his apartment, Denis also provided a map of the neighborhood, suggestions for restaurants and recommendations on how to plan our trip and adjust to the altitude.
The apartment itself is gorgeous with an outstanding view of the valley below. It had a great space heater and felt very natural, clean and modern. We really appreciated the DirecTV with all the international channels, especially since I needed to spend a day in bed dealing with my altitude sickness.
The location could not be better. On my first day, I went walking down to the Plaza below and within 5 minutes from the apartment, I encountered a scenic area with several people practicing Aikido with wooden swords, whom I joined for an hour of brisk exercise. Another 8 minutes walk and I was down by all the fine restaurants and shops at PLAZA DE LA ARMAS. We explored other areas of Cusco but the neighborhood that Denis is in has the most authentic feeling of being in the ancient city, with the stone buildings. If there were any problems with the apartment, like an interruption in the Wi-Fi service or when the water kettle wasn't working, Denis responded immediately to our notification and replaced the kettle or reset the wireless router, which was greatly appreciated.
We felt that Denis truly cared for as guests, and enjoyed our trip enormously thanks to his help. Thanks Denis!
