This place was great! We were looking for a place to stay with our dog last minute during labor day weekend, and we really really lucked out with Rick's cottages - super cute, a full efficiency kitchen with pots and pans (we cooked dinner after a week and a half of road meals, which was soo nice!) I wish we could have stayed longer!
it was as described, a little, old-fashioned roadside set of "cottages," reminding me of the kind of place I used to stay back in the late 1940s and early 1950s before the age of motels. Right on Route 1 so not the prettiest part of the area, but very close to Popham Beach, which is the most beautiful beach I've seen on the east coast, as well as a lovely little settlement at Fort Popham.
My stay was lovely. The cabin was very clean and had all the appliances necessary. It was about 20/30 minutes to a lot of places, but it was worth it. The hot water runs out, but it wasn't an inconvenience. Rick and his wife were great hosts.
I stayed here for two nights with my husband and my 8-lb dog Beans. The cabin is very basic but it is clean and comfortable.
Wonderful cottage that was perfectly located to get into Portland and Freeport. We also went to visit Acadia park which was a drive but worth it. Rick was great and provided us with local favorite places to eat and visit. The place itself was clean, had toiletries, and satellite TV.
Stay went very smoothly, Rick couldn't be there when we arrived but was able to leave the keys for us. Cute cabin and a great stop on the way further up the coast in Maine!
Exactly what I expected, a small little cottage. Bed was comfy and water was hot. Thats all that mattered.
We had a wonderful time at our Cottage efficiency stay in West Bath! Rick and Sue very accommodating and kind. The cottages were clean and cozy with a rustic feel. We had an equipped kitchen where we were able to cook wild mushroom risotto. The porch was great to sit on quietly in the sun, and the environment was very peaceful. Thank you Rick and Sue!
The cabin was a perfect place to stay for a couple looking to explore the Bath/Boothbay area on a budget. It had everything we needed and we loved sitting on the porch in the evenings with a glass of wine. Our host, Rick, was very accommodating and had some great recommendations for local spots to check out. I would definitely stay here again
Charming and comfortable Maine cottage . Recommended lobster dinner spot and breakfast cafe were terrific. Would recommend this cottage to anyone! Included a kitchen too but we were only stopping one night on the way to Nova Scotia. Would be a fun spot for an old fashion Maine vacation .
