Rick provides a great cabin experience. They have been recently renovated on the inside. A stove, kitchen sink, and refrigerator were available which is always great even though we only used the fridge. Rick himself was very jovial and provided some great recommendations regarding local beaches and places to eat.
This was my first experience using Airbnb & it was great. I requested a reservation a day or 2 ahead of traveling & Rick was quick to reply & confirm. He was totally flexible about our arrival time & responded quickly to all questions & concerns. Classic Maine housekeeping cabins- as described by owners. It is what I was looking for & Happy to have found. Cabin was clean & we'll kept. Bed was inviting, clean, & comfortable with nice quilt & extra blanket. Was glad to have wireless connection provided. Unfortunately didn't meet Rick or Sue as we came in late & left early to continue travel. Took a walk on the good sized property to the riverbank with our dog in the morning. Good location - easy to find & close to town. Super nice town. Had a great breakfast at Mae's cafe before getting back on road.
This was a wonderful cottage to stay in while visiting Maine. There was a great porch to enjoy the scenery, and the feel of the area was very serene. I very much enjoyed my stay at the cottage.
Rick and Sue were very accommodating hosts. They made my boyfriend and I feel most welcome. The location was great! West Bath is quiet, around great seafood (30 minutes from Five Islands Lobster Co.), and an amazing beach (Popham State Beach). We were also able to cook in the cottage with the use of the kitchenette. They provided a big pan and pot, along with cups, plates, bowls, and utensils. It was the best escape nearby and we wish we could've stayed longer!
The cottages and property were nice and well maintained. Rick did a great job of confirmation and follow up. We would stay here again.
I loved staying here and would do so again if I am in the area. My friend who I was visiting even commented that she would have liked to book the whole venue for her wedding guests. They were very accommodating for my late night arrival time. Very friendly. The cottages were adorable and simple, just what I like. There was a coffee maker and mini fridge and mini stove so all I had to do was bring my own coffee grounds and foods so I could enjoy breakfast on the porch without going into town.
Sites nearby were perfect: Kayak rentals within walking distance. The lobster roll food truck across the street was delicious. The bench and table by the river was a sweet spot to sit. The porch has a nice little view of the estuary. There was a nearby trail a few miles away on an Audubon Sanctuary.
The cottage efficiency was super-clean and well equipped, and exactly as advertised though a bit smaller than we were hoping it would be. Rick was available to address our concerns, and was an accommodating and gracious host.

My wife, Sue and I run a group of vacation cottages in Maine that were built by my grandfather. We have two children and we love to spend time together - sailing, walking the dog (DeeDee the airedale), reading. I'm a carpenter and Sue works for a non-profit.
