The living rooms include a cozy infrared fireplace for a little extra heat and ambiance. The kitchen is equipped with range, oven, microwave, refrigerator and small appliances.

Guest Access

Interaction with Guests

We love to meet and greet our guests but sometimes that's not possible. We are always available to answer questions and make sure the accommodations are as advertised. We have a family member who lives in the complex and is there at times to help our guests. We respect our guests privacy and usually leave our guests to enjoy themselves and interact when the opportunity is there to do so.

The Neighborhood

When you stay at Drake Park Cottages you'll be right across the street from the iconic Drake Park, the Drake Park Historic Neighborhood, Mirror Pond and The Deschutes River. Great views from the communal court yard facing the river, Drake Park and the historic neighborhood.

You'll be a few steps away from enjoying a nice stroll in the park, kayaking or paddle boarding the river, or riding the shuttle to the Old Mill District to float the river.

Then its just a short walk to some of Bend's best restaurants, brew pubs, and attractions. Go West on NW Galveston Ave. and enjoy several of Bend's finest eating establishments, bakeries, and shops. Take a walk through the park or up NW Riverside Blvd. to downtown Bend and catch a show at The Tower Theater or drop into one of the many shops, bistros, restaurants, or nightclubs.

Its a short bike ride or drive to The Old Mill District where you may (email hidden) concert at The Les Schwab Amphitheater or stroll around The Shops at The Old Mill.

Drake Park Cottages are in a premiere location with the hustle and bustle of Drake Park and access to the Mirror Pond and the river. Riverside Blvd. is heavily traveled at times and you may hear some light traffic noise in the evening or morning. The vast majority of our guests have never mentioned the traffic noise but a few have. If you want to stay in a quieter, less central location then you should look for lodging further away from the hustle and bustle.

  • We arrived late in the evening, and were pleasantly surprised with a key-less entry system that allowed us to access our unit easily. The tasteful and thoughtful furnishings were impeccable. I felt like I was at home in this sweet cottage and didn't want to leave. Our stay was accentuated by the well appointed kitchen provided... coffee, sugar, spices, BBQ grill, and sharp knives (yay!). The bathroom had shelves and a medicine cabinet to help keep everything organized. Our hosts provided everything we needed to have a comfortable, pleasant stay.

The location is fantastic! Being just across the street from Mirror Pond allowed us to walk to 10 Barrel, Westside Bakery and Cafe, Drake Park, and downtown Bend.

  • We had a perfect stay at the Drake Park Cottage in June. The location was ideal, we enjoyed walking to restaurants, bars, and shopping. The cottage itself was clean, well organized, and provided the perfect amount of space and amenities. The BBQ grill was especially handy after a visit to Primal Cuts! We will definitely be back and staying in the Drake Park Cottages.

  • Ok stay, owner was rude and accused us of damage based on blind accusations, hard to say I would recommend.

    Response from Stan:

Nick had a nice little dog however he ignored our house rules that no dogs are allowed on the furniture but the dog was all over the furniture as we found paw prints everywhere all over the couch and love seat. Also he used bedding that is intended for our guests for the dog. We needed to spend extra time to clean the couches and bedding because of this. I would not recommend this guest if you have a similar policy on dogs.

  • Stan was a great host, friendly and a quick communicator (he was very patient with my novice questions about airbnb). The cottage was nicer than advertised: clean and comfortable in a perfect location within walking distance to downtown and the old mill district. It's easy to fall in love with Bend while staying at Stan's cottage.

  • The Drake Park Cottage was perfect for our four night stay to visit our son in Bend. The house is very comfortable, and decorated with taste. We appreciated how well stocked the kitchen was with equipment--even though we ended up eating out in Bend's many fine restaurants rather than cooking. The location was perfect, right on the river's walking path, and a nice fifteen minute stroll to downtown restaurants and shopping, not to mention a wonderful selection of ethnic food carts! Stan was a great host, and we look forward to another rental as soon as we can visit again.
