This place was perfect for our little family vacation. Our kids loved the backyard play area and seeing the horses down the driveway everyday. Nice and quiet but just a short drive down into town. Our hosts were very sweet and had great recommendations!

This place is great, we liked it so much we ended staying for 3 1/2 months. Brittany and Ossian are awesome people and their family is delightful. They have four children who are so nice and polite that it is clear that Brittany and Ossian are great parents. They have a couple of nice dogs that are very nice too, don't worry they are not barkers. The hosts are very accommodating but also very laid back and respectful of your privacy. That said, we ended up being close friends by the time our stay ended. They are just an outstanding family. Beyond just their family, the entire little mini neighborhood is great. Their property is large with really nice people next door at the other two homes that share several acres of land. We ended up feeling like a local and they included us a in some really nice block dinners and social events. The location is a big plus. While you feel like you are out in the country a run down the hill to Kona Town is just 10 minutes away no it is only about 8 minutes to Costco. As for the apartment it is as represented. The apartment is very comfortable and clean. We are on the bottom floor with a completely private entrance and porch and the host family lives up stairs with their entrance in back. Plenty of parking directly in front of your front door. The furnishing and art work is very well done. The kitchen is stocked with every conceivable kitchen gadget that you need for a long term stay. The TV and internet situation worked perfectly with high speed internet so streaming NETFLIX or Amazon TV works perfectly and there is also local TV. They even furnish the stuff you need for going to the beach, such as beach chairs, boogie boards, noodle floats and a small ice chest. The bed was very comfortable and the linens were ample and of high quality. The view is excellent as we are up at 1400 ft above sea level and you can see for miles with the lights of Kona below. The altitude makes natural air conditioning as it gets up about 78-80 during the day and cools off 68-70 at night. There are fans in both rooms as well. The place is extremely quiet at night. The host family is generally in bed by 9 and it is out in the country a little so really dark at night so you will sleep well. Great place to experience the real Hawaii like a local. We will always stay here when we return to the big island.

The hosts are wonderful, warm people that make you feel right at home. Really beautiful people! We stayed for a month and had a great time. The lodgings are cozy, very family oriented and friendly. We loved sleeping up in the hills and being only a short drive into town. A perfect place for families to call home while visiting the Big Island of Hawaii.

If you stay with small children, you feel very comfortable at this place. There is a playground at backyard and the host family was very welcoming for my children to play around at their yard. For us, the location was perfect to feel the nature, and it was easy access to Kona town, the airport, beaches and wherever by car

Incredibly easy to communicate with hosts. Quiet, convenient, easy. I cannot say enough about my experience and really hope to book there again soon upon my return to Kona.

Britt & Ossian are great hosts. Super friendly and so nice and welcoming ! The studio has everything you need and is perfectly located and it's nice to be a little uphill where it is a little bit cooler than in downtown Kona. Thank you so much for hosting us !!!
