Our stylish and cozy one bedroom apartment is located in a beautiful neighborhood walking distance to NIH, Walter Reed Navy Medical Center, and the Red Line metro. There is plenty of parking right out front and there is a bus stop outside the door.
It doesn't get much better than this! Welcome to our large, comfortable and completely private one bedroom suite in private home in Bethesda, MD. The apartment does receive natural light so it doesn't feel much like a basement.
We are walking distance to NIH/Navy Med/Walter Reed and the Medical Center Metro on the Red Line. There is also a bus stop right outside door. Plenty of on-street parking is also available. Downtown Bethesda is a mile away, known for its 100's of restaurants.
The apartment has a separate entrance which you access from a private walkway from the street (along the side of the house). There is a private, full bath and kitchenette in addition to the living/dining room and bedroom. The apartment is equipped with all you need to prepare basic meals and snacks including: microwave, refrigerator/freezer, coffee maker, toaster and serving ware.
Fresh sheets and linens are provided along with some basic kitchen/food supplies.
Cable TV and wireless internet included along with premium movie channels and NFL Red Zone.
The apartment is clean and comfortably furnished with all linens and towels provided.
Super comfy king size bed with new mattress. We promise a cozy room that you will enjoy lounging in.
As a bonus, the friendly host is a chef and happy to prepare meals for you at an additional fee! We have been known to leave yummy samples on your doorstep.
**please note, above the apartment is a house with a family living in it (including a geriatric dog!). You can be assured an incredibly quiet space at night but there will be normal family noise...i.e. people walking above...during the day.
Guests have access to a complete kitchenette with perfect amenities for a short term stay. We have coffee and snacks available as well as all linens and some basic toiletries.
Interaction with Guests
We do our best to personally greet you and show you around the place, after that it is up to you! We are happy to answer any questions and make recommendations for local activities.
We are located in a fabulous, family friendly neighborhood within walking distance of a park, walking/biking trails and the YMCA in addition to quick and convenient access to downtown Bethesda and DC.
Easy access to public Metro and Ride On buses. Less than a mile to Red-line Metro (Grovsner Station or walking to Medical Center). Taxi's are also easy to get with a quick phone call. There are always Taxi's outside the Grovsner Metro Station.
No smoking, no pets. We have a detailed binder on the premises which outline trash days (Fridays) and other information about the apartment and location. We welcome all nice, respectful people and hope that we are the same!
The reservation was canceled 5 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.
Great place to stay! We drove to the Grovsner station park & ride when we wanted to head into D.C. Very convenient. Be advised that this station had a park & ride whereas the Medical Center did not (not that we could see, anyway). There is also a large Whole Foods grocery store about 10 minutes away which was great. We bought milk/cereal and saved on going out to breakfast. Just note that there is a microwave and fridge, but no stove. The apartment was clean and spacious. The bed was very comfortable. Parking was easy, right out front. All in all, a great deal, especially during cherry blossom week, which was when we stayed.
The host Kristin was very accommodating and hospitable. The apartment was exactly as described and very convenient for access to the NIH campus where I was working. I highly recommend accommodations and hope to stay there again when I return.
Kristin was an excellent host! My parents told me they were dropping by for a visit one week before they arrived so I had to book a last minute apartment through Airbnb. Kristin was gracious enough to let us stay at her place. The apartment is cozy, very clean, and it has everything you need for a short stay. Kristin is also very friendly and will answer any questions you may have about the apartment promptly.
My parents had a car and there was parking available on the street.
If you are going to take the metro, it's also pretty accessible. It's only about a 15-20 minute walk from the apartment. I would recommend this space to anyone who is looking to explore the DC area.
The host was great, and location was very convenient to NIH campus where I was working for the week. Apartment was quite spacious, bathroom, small kitchen, living area, plus bedroom. I would definitely try to stay there again if I was in the area.
My husband and I enjoyed staying here. It had everything we needed for a 4-day stay. There is plenty of space in the living area, the bed is large and comfortable, and we enjoyed having a little kitchen area to fix breakfast. It is a little bit of a hike to the Metro station, but luckily we had good weather. The bus does come very close to the house, and we had good luck taking it once, not so good another time. The info on the bus schedule online was incorrect.
Kristin made a point of coming to the apartment to meet us and was very accommodating. This is so much nicer than a hotel room. We would definitely do it again.
I had a fantastic stay in Kristin's apartment. It was exactly as described. The space is very cozy, and the location is very convenient to public transportation. I would definitely stay here again. Thanks!
