Description

The space

This is a great all redone and new lower level apartment with natural light in each room. A historic Hollywood building, you enter the apartment from your private door on the ground floor and the stair case is inside the unit. There is also a second door in the rear of the apartment to let you out to the back of the building. The place is very secure and very private. Everything is all new and redone. Hardwood floors with tile in the kitchen and bathroom. Beautifully restored building and centrally located and is within walking distance to many great areas in Los Angeles. New kitchen and bathroom with granite counters and tiled shower. All new appliances with everything you need to cook at home.

Please do not book this apartment if you plan on smoking in it. This building is a non smoking building. Smoking of anything is outside and away from the door and windows of the building.

Self check in and out for hassle free to help get you going and on your way.

BEDROOM: Relax in the comfort of a pillow top queen size bed with four pillows and luxury linens. Lots of closet space for both hanging as well as shelves. Very quiet room for a peaceful night sleep. Cable television also with Roku to access to your own Netflix, Blockbuster and Pandora account.

LIVING ROOM AREA: Sitting area with a second TV with cable. High Speed WiFi internet lets you connect all your WiFi enabled devises throughout the apartment.

PARKING: There is free street parking in this neighborhood, no meters. The building is located in the Media District which is not as congested as other parts of Hollywood. Parking has not been a problem for my guests.

Bus Service: Melrose take a bus east to Downtown Los Angeles, Music Center and MOCA, Staples and Nokia Center, China town, Dodger Stadium. West to Fairfax District, and the World Famous Famers Market and The Grove outdoor shopping.
Santa Monica blvd. take the bus west to West Hollywood and on to the city of Santa Monica, The Pier, 3rd Street Prominent and famous Venice Beach

1 mile north, walk or hop on Dash to: The Hollywood Walk of Fame, Graumann's Chinese Theatre (where the stars put their hand and footprints) Hollywood and Highland Theater (home of the Oscars!) Keller's place was exactly as described in the listing, great little spot right in the heart of Hollywood! Easy walking distance to Sunset and Melrose. Quiet and safe place, will definitely be staying here again! Keller was always very responsive and happy to help with any queries!

Excellent apartment. 9/10 would recommend. Pros Walking distance to walk of fame, nice bed, roomie shower, close to a Target/99c store/best buy and Starbucks, free parking, working fridge, stove and oven, big TV in bed (didn't use the other TV) with a Roku so you can watch Netflix, free wifi. Cons It was a bit humid at times, because of the shower, so we'd recommend that you keep the door closed after showering. Note it's a basement apartment so there isn't much natural light. It was all good, and we enjoyed our 13 day stay :)

Keller was a very friendly and responsive host and always got back to me quickly when I needed something. The place was good for what I needed it for, which was a temporary place to live until I found a permanent apartment in LA. All that said, I was a little bit frustrated with a few things at the apartment. The place wasn't very clean when I showed up, the iron was missing, there was a bit of a bug problem, and I thought the listing was a bit misleading for saying there were "hardwood floors" when there is in fact no flooring at all that isn't concrete. The neighbors were loud, not that there's really much that Keller can do about that, but it was pretty unpleasant being woken up at 2 or 3 in the morning multiple times per week. The parking situation was great and the location is excellent for tourism--that's just not what I was here to do. Overall, a good stay, but I was a bit frustrated with several things about the place.

I am sorry Michael had some issues with the apartment. I did not know but the guest before him took the iron. I have replaced it. We have also installed hardwood floors in the bedroom, living area and hallways this week. We are putting in new tile in the kitchen and bathroom. The painted concrete floors did apear dirty even though they are clean. There were two men in the apartment above this one that were noisy and coming home late at night. The owner of the building has gotten rid of those tenants so the building is a quiet peaceful place once again. My housekeepers clean all my apartments very well. If an apartment gets ants I send someone to take care of it. The Ants come out in LA in the summer months but we stay on top of it. Keller
