The space

This classic NYC one bedroom apartment in Boerum Hill, Brooklyn offers a comfortable and charming setting within a trendy NYC neighborhood. Conveniently, this home is just down the street from the F and G trains, taking you into Manhattan in just 3 short stops!

Located on Wyckoff Street & Hoyt Street, the contemporary brownstone apartment combines the old-world charm of exposed brick walls and decorative fireplaces with modern amenities for comfort and convenience. It sits on the ground floor of a 4-story owner occupied building.

Hard wood floors, an exposed brick wall, and a white decorative fireplace decorate the charismatic living room. Here you will find such basic amenities as a wooden dining table, double-sized convertible sofa bed, and modern artwork. Two windows look towards a residential street, providing ventilation and natural illumination.

A compact kitchenette area is open to the living room. This commodious space offers countertops, white cabinetry, and most essential cooking appliances, such as an electric stove, microwave, coffee maker, electric kettle, toaster and small refrigerator with a mini-freezer compartment. The elegant white-and-blue tiled bathroom supplies a sink with cabinets, full-sized tub/shower with curtain, and toilet.

A hallway with linen shelving leads from the living room to the bedroom. It includes a double-sized bed facing an exposed brick wall; the decorative fireplace has been converted, now housing cabinets and the small TV. Closet space, dresser drawers are also included. The windows look onto a garden (the garden is NOT accessible to renters).

Please Note: There is no door separating the bedroom from the living room. As a result, privacy may be limited for larger parties.

Boerum Hill, Brooklyn is a largely residential New York neighborhood near Cobble Hill and Gowanus. A truly lovely environment, it features tree-lined streets and historic brownstone apartment buildings, which have become a staple in NYC. For your convenience, a Laundromat is located just around the corner on Hoyt Street. Along Smith Street or restaurant row, you will find a hub of restaurants and small shops.

Everything was perfect and as described on website. The apt. was clean and neat. Laurence met me with the keys when I arrived and showed me the apt. She was most gracious and helpful. All the ammenities needed were there. Comfortable bed and TV with Netflix, plus wifi was great. Especially enjoyed having coffee there to have before heading out in the morning. I highly recommend this apt. it is bright and cheery and Laurence, as a host, is wonderful. I hope to be able to rent again from her.

We enjoyed very much staying in Laurence's house. The flat is very comfortable and clean and well located: the right place to visit New York. The kitchen is well organized for four people (we were two), supplied with things (like oil, salt, sugar, tea, ...) that generally you don't have time to buy for a short stay, specially if you stay in a lovely area full of nice smile restaurants. Thank you Laurence! We hope to come again.

We stayed 8 days in Laurence’s apartment. Contact was basically on the arrival and check-out days, but Laurence was kind enough to allowing an earlier check-in upon our arrival from an international flight, and as well as leaving our luggage for late pick-up on the day of check-out. The apartment is well located, clean and has all you need for a comfortable stay. We definitely recommend it.

Laurence is a friendly and helpful host. The apartment is exactly as you can see in the pictures, it is clean and fully functional. There are two metro stops near the apartment and the location is great. I sure will recommend it!

We had a great visit in Brooklyn. The Wycoff Street apt, was clean and pretty much just like it appears in the pictures. Close to the subway and centrally located.
