Our beautiful lakefront guest house is nestled in southwestern Maine in the foothills of the White Mountains, on the shores of Bear Lake. Incredible views, access to the lake and mountains right out your door.

It is just a short drive to town (Bridgton) for shopping, movie theaters and local restaurants. Our guest home is surrounded by hiking trails. The sounds of loons are magical. It's truly a place to relax and recharge. You won't want to leave!

The space
Things you should know:
1) We have high speed Wi-Fi and Roku TV. Bring your login information for your favorite streaming channels, Netflix, Prime Video, Disney+, etc...
2) There is a ladder up to the loft and no gate or door. This means small kids should not stay up in the loft.
3) The fridge and freezer are smallish. No ice maker but we do have ice trays.
4) This is Maine, bundle up! Be prepared for snow. You might need to shovel out.
5) No dishwasher.
6) The cabin guests have access to one canoe and one kayak.

Guest access
The lake is yours to enjoy from your own dock. A canoe and a kayak are dedicated to the cabin guests. Fall foliage in Maine is right out your window! Bring snowshoes and cross country skis in the winter. Maybe even skates if the lake isn't covered by snow. Walk for miles or relax indoors and play cards surrounded by pine trees.

The power boat belongs to the big house and is off limits!

Other things to note
Close to the Fryeburg Fair - The largest agricultural fair held annually in the state of Maine.

Maine’s Fall Foliage and Festivals are second to None!

NOTE: The ladder to the loft is steep. We would not recommend little children stay up in the loft.

The gas grill is always checked prior to check-in to make sure there is propane but becase there is no gauge it's hard to know exactly how much propane previous guests used. If you run out, a replacement is your responsibility. Nearly every gas station has them.

Lives in Waterford, Maine
I love the outdoors (and Maine in particular). I’ve hiked all 48 of the 4,000 footers in the White Mountains, Torres del Pine in the Patagonia, the Andes, been to Everest x2, yeah I like the mountains. Why did I choose AirBNB? I want to help create extraordinary experiences for people.
