I stayed at Lucia's place with my daughter for 5 nights. Her place is spacious and comfortable, close to the Gallerie dell' Academia. There are restaurants, bookshops and supermarkets nearby. The kitchenette is well equipped. We made our breakfasts every day. We walked to the Duomo, Galleria degli Uffizi, Gallerie dell' Academia, Marketo Centrale, Mercato Nuovo and Fonta del Procellino during our stay. Florence is not only a city of great Renaissance arts but great food. The Florentine Steak is a must-to-eat. Thanks for Lucia and her daughter Marta who had given us valuable advice on some good restauranrts.

We arrived to the sound of an orchestra rehearsing Beethoven directly outside the window in the Conservatorium - part of the Academia! What a start, and the next four days continued to be just as enchanting. Lucia's apartment is perfectly positioned to enjoy a view of the Duomo at the other end of the street and listen to the babble of voices as people queue outside to see Michelangelo's David. Spacious and gracefully decorated it had everything we needed. It was very warm (June) and we used the small fans a lot, but a rainstorm cooled things down, thankfully. Lovely to have a generous sized bath too! We very much hope to visit Florence again and will ensure we make a beeline for Lucia's apartment. Thank you for your assistance and a lovely memorable stay. The location is fantastic. It is literally across the street, 3 meters, from the front doors of the Academy where David is on display. Looking down the street you can see the Duomo area, a 6 minute walk away. The apartment is beautiful, clean and very large, just like the photos. The WiFi is great. However; there is no air conditioning. We were staying in the summer and it was extremely hot, so be thoughtful if you are sensitive to heat. I imagine in the cooler months it would be even better.

Lúcia's place is just what you need to make your stay in Florence as authentic as you can if you are looking for a very fiorentino experience. Her apartment's location is so convenient right in front of galleria dell' accademia. A short walk can take you anywhere you want and the piazza duomo it's literally just down the road. The apartment is very comfortable, spacious and the bedroom is so quiet that you will probably have a great night of sleep as we did. I personally loved the decor too. Thank you Lucia for an amazing stay and Florence experience. We hope to return soon.

Excellent place, Lucia is a great host and the location of this AirBnB is perfect (steps from the Accademia and 5 mins from the Duomo). Large, spacious apartment with everything one needs including a full-sized fully equipped kitchen, large dining and living room. Ample storage space in the bedroom and a clean / modern bathroom. We would stay here again if we returned to Florence. Only (URL HIDDEN) A/C....but there are 2 fans that did a splendid job of cooling down the apartment in the evenings.

Lucias apartment was in a clean, safe, and convenient area of town. A perfect launch point to go to the Academia galleria museum. Lucia was very helpful with instructions on the washer and offered us extra fans which were not necessary because of the large open windows. We felt very special staying here and would definitely recommend to a friend.

Hello, I am a retired high school Maths and Physics teacher and have recently completed a course on the museums of Florence. My family is historically from Florence, but I first moved here in the early 1990’s with my husband and three daughters. In the summer I spend most of my time in the countryside just outside of Florence where we have a country house with wine yards and also rent flats for guests. I can guarantee you a comfortable stay and professional service.
