About this listing
Bright single bedroom in a shared apartment in central London (Zone One) in Chelsea very close to the major sights and only a few minutes walk from Earls Court tube station. The flat is very bright and sunny with great views over the garden square.
I'm offering the second bedroom in my two-bedroom flat in central London (Zone 1). There is a shared kitchen, bathroom & living room and breakfast is included: cereals, tea, coffee and milk. The flat is on the third floor – it’s a historic Victorian townhouse property, but unfortunately no lift. The building is on a garden square and the flat has great sunny views overlooking the gardens. It is between Chelsea and Earls Court just a five-minute walk from Earls Court underground station on the Picadilly and District lines, about 45 minutes direct from Heathrow.
You are surrounded by many restaurants, pubs, supermarkets and tourist attractions. The Victoria & Albert, Natural History and Science museums are about twenty minutes away and Harrods only another ten minutes. Chelsea football stadium is only a ten-minute walk.
The room has a single bed, so only suitable for one person. It's a 2-bedroom flat and you will be in the second bedroom.
Towels and bed linen are provided and you're welcome to use the shared kitchen and shared bathroom. There will usually just be you and me in the flat, but, on occasion, there may be one or two AirBnB guests in the double room as well as me sleeping on the sofa.
Interaction with Guests
Some guests seek social interaction, others just want a room and privacy and I'm equally happy with both ends of the spectrum and anything inbetween. In the past, I've had one guest who became a frequent tenant and we spent a couple of weeks hiking together in Turkey. At the other extreme, there was one chap whom I never actually met in person, despite living in the same flat for multiple days.
You are surrounded by many restaurants, pubs, supermarkets and tourist attractions. The Victoria & Albert, Natural History and Science museums are about twenty minutes walk away and Harrods only another ten minutes. You can see Chelsea football stadium from the window.
The flat is just a five-minute walk from Earls Court underground station on the Piccadilly and District lines, so about 45 minutes direct from Heathrow airport. There are nearby bus stops with a frequent service in and around the city. There is also a bike rental station at one corner of the square – visible from the flat !
Other Things to Note
I only have one property, but rent out one room, both rooms or the the entire flat from time to time.
No smoking in the flat and please wash any mugs or plates etc that you use.
No guests or visitors without prior agreement
After climbing numerous stairs, welcomed by a simple yet airy apartment. Andrew make you feel very at home.
Andrew is a wonderful host and a great guy! Friendly, full of energy, very considerate, and persuasive as a Londoner and veteran traveller :)
The location of the apartment is quite good, convenient for everything. The room I stay is cozy and clean. I really enjoy my stay and would definitely hope to stay there again and recommend to others.
Booked a room with Andrew for my brother, who was in town for two nights, as Andrew's apartment was conveniently located around the corner of my own street. Andrew came to drop off the key in the morning at my place which was very nice. Room itself is as on the picture, simple one bed, one cupboard but with a nice view and in a great location. I will certainly consider booking this room again for other friends visiting me from abroad.
It's a lovely having Andrew as a host, esp for a someone who is trying Airbnb the first time. Even before arriving in London, he's taken the time to respond to my queries and soothed all my apprehensions as a solo traveler.
The property is wonderful. First of all, you need not spend on a taxi as it is accessible via Piccadilly line. Andrew was also there to help me with my significantly heavy luggage. The apartment is very clean and organized. Andrew is also very engaging and you can practically talk to him about anything under the sun. I would definitely recommend this listing to friends.
I really enjoyed my stay at Andrew's place. Andrew was very welcoming and extremely accommodating (he'd go to any lengths to help one of his guests with their internet access or anything else they might need, such as international sockets, maps, umbrellas ...). The room and flat were as described and I also appreciated the fact that breakfast was included.
Andrew was an outstanding host and the overall experience was fantastic.
The neighborhood was busy, but in a good way. Convenient shops (there was a Marks & Spencer within 5 minutes for grocery items) and several interesting pubs (I particularly enjoyed The King's Head).
Earl's Court Tube station is very convenient to center London, with no changes necessary for visiting Piccadilly, West End Theater District, Tower of London, Parliament etc. and a direct line to Heathrow.
The room was small but comfortable. I slept well. Both nights I planned on going back and unwind with netflix but ended up chatting with Andrew about politics, economics, immigration or travels. It was my first AirBnB experience and I have to say he set the bar pretty high.
I would definitely (and hope to) stay there again.
