Bright single bedroom in a shared apartment in central London (Zone One) in Chelsea very close to the major sights and only a few minutes walk from Earls Court tube station. The flat is very bright and sunny with great views over the garden square.
I'm offering the second bedroom in my two-bedroom flat in central London (Zone 1). There is a shared kitchen, bathroom & living room and breakfast is included: cereals, tea, coffee and milk. The flat is on the third floor – it’s a historic Victorian townhouse property, but unfortunately no lift. The building is on a garden square and the flat has great sunny views overlooking the gardens. It is between Chelsea and Earls Court just a five-minute walk from Earls Court underground station on the Picadilly and District lines, about 45 minutes direct from Heathrow.
You are surrounded by many restaurants, pubs, supermarkets and tourist attractions. The Victoria & Albert, Natural History and Science museums are about twenty minutes away and Harrods only another ten minutes. Chelsea football stadium is only a ten-minute walk.
The room has a single bed, so only suitable for one person. It's a 2-bedroom flat and you will be in the second bedroom.
Towels and bed linen are provided and you're welcome to use the shared kitchen and shared bathroom. There will usually just be you and me in the flat, but, on occasion, there may be one or two AirBnB guests in the double room as well as me sleeping on the sofa.
Interaction with Guests
Some guests seek social interaction, others just want a room and privacy and I'm equally happy with both ends of the spectrum and anything inbetween. In the past, I've had one guest who became a frequent tenant and we spent a couple of weeks hiking together in Turkey. At the other extreme, there was one chap whom I never actually met in person, despite living in the same flat for multiple days.
You are surrounded by many restaurants, pubs, supermarkets and tourist attractions. The Victoria & Albert, Natural History and Science museums are about twenty minutes walk away and Harrods only another ten minutes. You can see Chelsea football stadium from the window.
The flat is just a five-minute walk from Earls Court underground station on the Piccadilly and District lines, so about 45 minutes direct from Heathrow airport. There are nearby bus stops with a frequent service in and around the city. There is also a bike rental station at one corner of the square – visible from the flat !
Other Things to Note
I only have one property, but rent out one room, both rooms or the the entire flat from time to time. There are multiple listings of the entire flat to allow for varying terms at different times of the year.
No strict rules - just please be considerate. No smoking in the flat and please wash any mugs or plates you use.
Andrew was an outstanding host and the overall experience was fantastic.
The neighborhood was busy, but in a good way. Convenient shops (there was a Marks & Spencer within 5 minutes for grocery items) and several interesting pubs (I particularly enjoyed The King's Head).
Earl's Court Tube station is very convenient to center London, with no changes necessary for visiting Piccadilly, West End Theater District, Tower of London, Parliament etc. and a direct line to Heathrow.
The room was small but comfortable. I slept well. Both nights I planned on going back and unwind with netflix but ended up chatting with Andrew about politics, economics, immigration or travels. It was my first AirBnB experience and I have to say he set the bar pretty high.
I would definitely (and hope to) stay there again.
Nice spacy place close to center, helpful host with things you need to know.. had to come to London to learn why oil price -that is affecting so much Dubai- is so low .. as Andrew sits on a mountain of oil and gas expertise. Try best Peru coffee in brealfast ! Pleasant staying .
Andrew was always ready to help me: carrying my luggage up to the flat; finding me a close bike docking station to Westminster Abbey using his iPhone; making tea also for me every morning; letting me use his map and tourist guidebooks; kindly answering to every question I asked. I had a pleasant time chatting with Andrew over a cup of tea. The location is perfect, if you would like to experience a city life of London.
Staying at Andrew's place was fantastic. He is a great host - really kind and helpful. He went over and above to help me out repeatedly during my stay. He was keen for a chat, which is nice when you're sharing space with someone. It is also an amazing apartment. Perfect location and super clean. I would definitely stay there again. Thanks, Andrew!
Great three nights' stay with Andrew. The flat is very convenient for public transport (as well as to Heathrow) and is big, bright, modern and impeccably clean. Andrew is welcoming and friendly, providing breakfast stuff and tea/coffee without charge, as well as making available small-but-very-useful things like maps & tour guides, spare chargers/travel adapters, etc. Really excellent value for what it is.
I'm so happy to meet Andrew. He is really good man. The place situated at the most amazing place it is really not far from Earl's Court underground stantion, and about 15-25 minues to Hyde Park without any public Transportantion!
I'm happy that I had met him. He provided me with the most accurate information about London and what I should visit first.
